Watched "Now You See Me," last night at the wife's insistence. Not a good movie. Oddly, she seemed to dislike it more than me. That doesn't happen often.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Ha, I actually saw the back half of that on tv with my brother a couple weeks ago. It has some amusing moments ("Freeze!"), but I don't feel compelled to go rewatch it from the beginning.

It really made me feel like I was supposed to have a low IQ to like it.

On a positive note, VP brought me to see Interstellar, at the theater, and I would love nothing more than to buy that movie and watch it on repeat. Damn that was an amazing movie. Highly recommended!

I'm not seeing it right yet, but I don't want to forget to post it later.

I'm seeing "Kingsman" in a couple of weeks with a friend, and I won't have internet access for a couple of days (I usually spend the night down there when I visit) to come talk about it.

I'm actually extremely excited for it.

Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

Suddenly you're making me want to watch some 90's anime.

Have you watched it in Japanese? Kuwabara is hilarious.

Better Call Saul is not bad so far. There are a few things plot-wise that struck me as a little too coincidental or convenient, but that was sometimes the case with Breaking Bad, too. Worth it for Bob Odenkirk, and all the nods to Breaking Bad, but also I think it's pretty good in its own right.

Finished up Peggy Carter last night. All around a great mini series. They did leave it open to another season if they wanted to continue on.

I also watched the 1st 3 episodes of Chuck. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take the show seriously or not. There are moments where it's funny, but far from believable. Then I think I'm over thinking, but I'm not certain if I like it or not yet.

Forgot to mention that I convinced VP to do a Harry Potter kick. We've watched Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and half of The Goblet of Fire.

Watching Midnight Madness for the nth time. It is one of the dumbest movies I've seen, as well as a family favorite.

Finished The Goblet of Fire and The Order of the Pheonix yesterday.

The finale of How to Get Away With Murder was nice considering there were two episodes to watch.

watching 60's Batman. Penguin just lifted Barbara Gordon out of an elevator with umbrellas so he can marry her and get prosecutorial immunity thank god they invented the Biff-shot. before that, stage fighting was a lot harder.

Russel Brand- Messiah Complex. bri'ish s'andup is very differen' from ours. russel brand has a whole slideshow. his bits are long and personal, but his audience is totally into him. this goes on for 90 solid minutes. he's definitely underrated as a comic, dont let his kookiness deter you from his standup.

9/10

observation: his main points are very spread out, and he has a lot of material packed in. this is forcing me to pay attention to everything so i dont miss the bigger jokes.
