AV Club article about the sorry state of how classic console games are treated. (e.g. FFVI)
True art must encompass all five dimensions: the three physical, time, and character creation. Shame this is happening.

Final Fantasy VI is out for Android
It looks terrible.
So...if they can do this:

Why couldn't they make FFVI look like that for the port? That stupid movie looks waaaaaay better.

I don't really know anything about EVE but:

This sounds awesome and makes me want to play it.

Holy Hell! Those ships actually cost that much money?! You'd think that after one or two people lost those that the others would just kinda back-off. Crazy business there.

I've seen people play EVE before, but I could just never get interested.
On top of subscriptions and stuff, you pretty much are in a Pay2Win scenario. Pay2Play+Pay2Win=NoPlay4Me

From my understanding of EVE is that you're wrong.
It has a subscription but you can't like, spend real money in the game. You can make stuff equivalent to real money and purchase stuff in game and actually pay for your subscription, but you can't like...I don't know. But how you worded it makes it sound more harmful than it is.

I dunno, the whole concept wasn't interesting regardless. Even if it was free, I'd probably pass.

I think it is a market value. You can invest a lot of time into playing the game for several months to earn the ship. But you could also sell it to someone for $3000 as an out-of-game interaction. At least that is how it seemed to be worded and how I understand EVE. The game doesn't have an economic model but the community is so large they made their own.
Not "conspiracies". Conspiracy. Singular.

And then I learned it's a free to play full of IAP and I gave up on it. That makes me so sad. It looks pretty good on the onset but if it turns out like what I read boooooo.

Then I won't. I will just elect to not play it, instead.
The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.
