So, ignoring that poorly made and thought of title, do you like cats or dogs, or both?

Personally I like both, however I was raised with cats (cause I am cool needy like one :p) so I prefer cats more.

What about you guys (and gals)?

I like both, and we have two cats, but I would so love to have zero pets for a while......

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I like both, and we have 8 cats, and two dogs, but I would so love to have zero pets for the rest of my life after they all die.

I've had both throughout my life, but I love cats so much more than I love dogs.

I couldn't begin to explain it. Cats make me happy. Dogs are irritating. Actually, that's a pretty good explanation.

Can't agree with you more Leggy, cats make me happy because they are so mellow, maybe it has to do with the mushrooms growing and disappearing from my yard probably because of the katnip.

I like both, but I enjoy them most when they're other people's pets.

If it wasn't obvious to anyone, I enjoy cats far more than dogs.

Don't get me wrong, dogs are nice and all, but they can get too noisy, needy, and time consuming. With our two cats we get that freedom of not having to do walks and give a TON of attention. The worst they ever get is wanting to be on/near me when I'm busy doing things. That a cat for you though.

I've grown up with both and I like cats and dogs under the right situation. The most important thing for them to be enjoyable pets or companions is that they must be trained. An untrained dog is the worst thing ever. When my parents got a new family dog for my sister, no one bothered to train it. I didn't because I was 10 and not my dog. How I regret it because that little thing has annoyed me ever since. It's a little harder for a cat to be trained so with them it is more about being behaved. Both cats my family have owned have been fantastic. Our current cat practically behaves like a dog most of the time. Cats are great peaceful companions that I enjoy watching explore things and being curious. But I still want a dog someday. There is just this picture in my mind of having a well trained dog that will stay by my side without a leash and that does not bother the fuck out of me like the current dog. I'm going to teach it commands using ancient Greek so only I can control it. The dog is who I want to be able to go for a hike with and play in the yard with. The cat is for sleeping on my feet while I read and watching it explore the yard.

I like both. They both have their drawbacks, but their positives as well.

Cats are cute, but I am sadly allergic to their hair. Dogs are pretty awesome too, though. My parents just got a puppy named Lily:

Oh dear lord, Frost, that dog is so cute. I love Collies and Border Collies, not gonna lie. If I'd get a dog, it'd be on of the two.
