I was 4 and once got really mad at dad for having to mow the lawn and kill them all.

My work is going to have what's called a "Spring Black Friday". Plants, mulch, soil, tools, you pretty much name it and it's on sale. Holy wow I don't know how me make a profit sometimes...

Does this mean you mowed the lawn at 4? I think that's the perfect age to assume responsibility.

I love dandelions myself. I would have a big old dandelion garden if I knew the neighbors wouldn't revolt.

Old flash signature has been revived for nostalgic purposes. Too bad RpgWizard hasn't been revived. :\

No, but I did have that push toy with foam balls inside that looks like a lawn mower. I used to "mow" alongside dad sometimes. Not that time, since I really like dandelions.

Fun fact: dandelion leaf is sold as a seasoning and is quite flavorful and healthy.

I used to have one of those lawnmowers. It was great.

Yay forsythia. Our old house had some forsythia in the front yard. (That house was gardened up like mad. My aunt poked fun at my dad saying it looked like a leprechaun lived there. Now I'm feeling nostalgic.)

i have yard kittens, which bring a special set of circumstances-

They keep other vermin away but,

they're shitting in my strawberry patch.

is it worth keeping them around to scare away possums and raccoons?

If you're somewhere where you actually see any of those things often, go with the cats.

And... this thread makes me want to try dandelion wine.
