A footlong black foest ham sub on honey oat with provalone cheese toasted to perfection and topped with lettus, cucumber, black olives, red onions, banana peppers and then smothered in ranch.

It was heaven.

I've been continuing my bold explorations of American cuisine.

 

Twinkies - 6/10 - surprisingly edible!

Sour Flavour Jolly Rancher Gummies - 7/10 - They're just okay, they're like a lot of other sour gummies but with that unmistakable Jolly Rancher aftertaste. Why can't I stop eating them?

Froot Loops - 9/10 - I have no idea how you guys can keep these to yourself. If I'd discovered these when I was a teenager I'm pretty sure it's all I would have ever eaten. My one complaint is that they fail to flavour the milk at the end of the bowl. The milk just tastes more sugary.

 

Any suggestions for what I should try next?

 

EDIT: did some further research on Froot Loops, apparently they were introduced to the UK but because of EU regulations they had to reduce the sugar content and some of the artificial flavourings so they tasted like ass and nobody bought them so they stopped selling them.

Do a comparative study of Twizzlers vs Red Vines.

Eating Twizzlers for the first time right now, they're really good. Give them maybe a 7.5/10. I put off trying them for a long time because I didn't think they look liked anything special, but they seem to be a step above other similar candy.

 

Couldn't find any Red Vines so I can't do a comparison. Are they better?

I've tried them very few times and not at all recently. All I know is that the people who prefer Red Vines tend to talk mad shit about Twizzlers.
