I find myself looking through plushie tutorials again because last night I realized that this would make an awesome plush, and I want one. >_> <_<

I started my first "proof of concept" pony this afternoon. I got the pattern cut out, got the pieces cut out, learned from Youtube how to tie the knots and how to do a back stitch, and am about to do my best at stitching the thing together. I've attempted one stitch so far but had to pop it back out when I got to the end and found that I didn't have enough slack to tie it off. <_< I was getting hungry, so now I'm taking a food break and will try again this evening.

Since I didn't want to go out and buy fabric for a practice pony, I'm using some leftover cloth from high school Home Ec. This should make for an interesting pony since it's black with a blue flame pattern. =p

So I think I talked my mom into going 50/50 with me on a (relatively) cheap combination embroidery/sewing machine. (It was a lot easier than I expected.) That should help speed things up in the future since I can't assemble the pieces until the eyes and marks are embroidered. The people who have been letting me use their machine are almost always busy, so I don't usually get much time with it.
