I haven't heard for certain what they're going to do, but there was talk about such things going around for a while.
I even gave them pony names that have nothing to do with their actual names, and I spent way too long making cutie marks...
They're in the spoiler tags for Puffin and Kamau's sakes since they haven't met several of these characters yet.
And for no reason at all other than I felt like it, colt and filly versions!
Both version of Night Eye and Wisp Shade are definitely my favorites.
EDIT: Forgot to note that in each picture the top row is good guys, and the bottom row is bad guys.
Speaking of, I just finished making ponified versions of some characters from a Scion RP I've been doing with Puffin and Kamau. Six of them. Probably because I'm putting off drawing proper pictures of them. xp/>I spend about 2 [many] hours yesterday making my own MLP.... I think I have a problem.
I even gave them pony names that have nothing to do with their actual names, and I spent way too long making cutie marks...

Hasbro lied. Her name was removed, her eyes were un-derped, and her voice was changed.
I kind of prefer the new voice, but the name and eyes are unacceptable.
