What do you mean by a persistand world like animal crossing? I only remember that you could link up and visit someone else's town and that was it.

Anyways, yeah, they need to do more with trainers. Maybe do something like animal crossing and have an internal calendar that triggers holiday specific events or something.

Not like an MMO persistent world, but the world stays there and things happen even while you're not playing. Characters move around and do stuff, if you drop something on the ground, it stays there. You know, that sort of thing. Maybe being able to see Pokemon moving around on the world map, or at least in caves. It would be cool if wild Pokemon could walk around outside of tall grass.

I like the idea of Pokemon becoming a limited, changing world like the Animal Crossing series. It would be cool if the seasons changed and more events were to be included. They already have weekly and daily events so it is plausible to expand it. Plus, they already have the berry system in play that actually does follow real time. Then again, I could still see Nintendo making it limited than what we would want. Having Pokemon appear only in the morning, day, or night is something I love and I would love seasonal Pokemon/Events, too. Making something only happen once a year though might feel like too small a time gap to others though. Can't satisfy everyone but I think seasons would make the majority happen. Now if they could make events from the real world, that would be awesome. They can't do things like the 4th of July or Christmas, but New Years Eve would be universal enough.

Just don't make Pokemon appear outside of grass. That can be annoying enough as it is when you are traveling through grass, last thing I want is to make in 100% unavoidable unless you stock up on repels all the bloody time.

Edit: Krabby? With Agility? *snrk*

Lol. Kingler with agility and swords dance running? Careful BG, he just might sweep you with crabhammer. =P

But yeah, a persistent world would be nice, aside from the berries it already has on that. I wish berries were also like in animal crossing- plant some, forget 'em, and then in 5 days, you have a tree giving out three berries, and regrows the berries every three days. none of this, turn on your game to run around and water shit multiple times a day. >.> Berry masters are a life saver.

A lot of cultures celebrate Christmas too. I mean, I'm sure we could include most of the stuff from animal crossing, considering that they put in a lot of their own cultural festivities. Like the cherry blossoms.

A lot of people take offense to it as well, though.

No no, I don't mean me (although I don't celebrate it). I was referring to just about every religious group besides Christians.

I've never met anyone with something against Christmas. Ask Money, I doubt he cares.

In fact, there's groups of Christians, like Jehovah's Witnesses, that HATE Christmas.

It's not like Christmas is solely a Christian holiday, it's a combination of two holidays in America.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate anything. They even forbid their kids from eating any birthday snacks that their classmates bring to school.

And it's actually a pagan holiday that was absorbed into the Roman Catholic Church to keep conquered people happy, but that's another matter entirely.

I know. My family has a lot of different religious offshoots to it. Almost all my relatives on my father's side are Jehovah's. They're sooo boring.

The point is, for a big company like Nintendo it would be safer to NOT include Christmas than it would to. They might take or make up a generic winter celebration though. They also might make other holidays like with Animal Crossing, I think that has Thanksgiving and Halloween actually. Maybe. I don't know.

Both Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon have had Christmas in it.

So has The Sims.

So has a lot of games that rely on seasons and dates.

To worry about a single holiday that's heavily celebrated is dumb, honestly. Nobody is really going to care. Nobody really ever cares, except crazy people nobody's going to listen to to begin with.

Even you don't like Christmas as the mass for christ, gotta love that whole gift giving and seeing relatives sort of thing. Or maybe I'm still biased cuz I used to be Catholic. *thinks back to the mindless creeds of believing one holy catholic and apostolic church...*

In anycase, I'm still waiting for real time pokemon fighter ala Brawl, or action adventure game along the lines of Rumble, but much better.

also a team of stantler to pull his sleigh.

i like the idea of environmental battles like in the anime. itd force people to use pokemon other than their core team of 6 that change very little throughout. underwater=no charizards/typhlosions/torterra/magmar/torkoal/probopass. it would also almost eliminate the battle being decided by type defense/offense since theyd be the same type most likely.

Okay so this has a lot, sorry. tl;dr: I'm right, everyone else is wrong.

I didn't mean random battles outside of grass, just make them APPEAR outside of grass. And that you can walk into them if you WANT, or you can avoid them completely. Even if they sort of chase you, that's fine, as long as they can be avoided. I just want to be able to see them around. It doesn't make sense that wild Pokemon are just in wild grass and never leave or move to a different patch of grass.

And then, if they're doing that, they can make the grass the same, Pokemon are just wandering around and you can see them on the map, making it easier to chain, or to just avoid Pokemon all together, say, if you just really quickly want to run back to the last town.

In fact, there's groups of Christians, like Jehovah's Witnesses, that HATE Christmas.

As a former Jehovah's Witness I can tell you that that isn't true. They don't celebrate, but neither do they hate the celebration. They just recognize that the Christmas celebration (As most other holidays) was created by the Roman church to help ease the transition from paganism to Christianity. But all in all, Jehovah's Witnesses don't hate anything others do. Unlike other churches, they're not built on hate and fear.

They even forbid their kids from eating any birthday snacks that their classmates bring to school.

No they don't. That's just ignorant.

Maybe not specific to you. But my father was a Jehovah's Witness, and basically my whole father's side of the family are too. (And to be stereotypical, he's asian, so he has a huge immediate family)

And I know some of them just hate the holiday, including my father (Well, he kind of could care less about it...and he's not a JW anymore anyways).
