----------------Just discovered a strange problem with my computer's music library. Files are missing! I have no idea why, how many, or if I lost anything that I can't easily recover. Dammitall.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Computer Science is much more theoretical usually less practical and requires a bit of math. At the very least, it requires Calculus I and II and Discrete Mathematics. Most universities will cover paradigms of programming and the "why" in addition to the "how". Compilers, databases, algorithms, operating systems, data structures, networks, and theory of computation are all typical CS major classes. Computer Science is not focused on programming, but instead the theory behind the computation. "Computer Science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes." CS majors work at places like Google and Microsoft, and usually take on programming/software engineering positions./>What does a major in computer science entail exactly? I've been thinking of going back to school for either that, or IT Systems Management, but I guess I don't really understand the difference.
IT Systems Management, and the IT field in general, focuses less on the "why" and more on the social and business aspects of technology with a little less (if any) programming. Databases and networks are the heart of IT. IT majors are typically employed at businesses and corporations, sometimes schools, and almost never for software engineering or programming positions. They run the technology and servers and networks and stuff, are familiar with all the computer hardware, and handle all the school/company/business databases and interfaces.
tl;dr computer science is the dorkier, math-ier more asocial cousin of information technology.
