Does anybody ever use, let alone, heard of Lunar Magic? Its a Super Mario World hacking software. It's fairly easy to use and quick to pick up on, not to mention free, and completely legal.

A few screenshots of a project I'm working on, to give you an idea of what this is capable of if you aren't all ready familiar with lunar magic.






Now don't get me wrong, I am NOT promoting emulation and illegal rom sharing, I am talking about completely legitamate game data editing for the sole purpose of being able to create a tribute to what was and is an amaizing video game.


What I am really looking for is other people who might be interested in a deeper, more in depth hacking project. We would need character spriters, music composers, background and forground mappers and spriters, and someone with background knowledge in hexadecimal(not necessary, but would be awesome).

I'd be interested in the music, are you looking for some authentic chip music?

Well the only thing that works in Lunar Magic is the actual chip tune from the game. While everything about Lunar Magic and the product that you make from it is totaly legal, one would still need to find a SMW rom inorder to build everthing off of that. Not to mention that the composition of the music requires some knowledge of hex, though I have found a good tutorial on how to make music for the use in a hack.

I know nothing to little about hex, but this tutorial does make everything look pretty straight forward. I just have no sense of music composition.

I hope I'm not making this look to complicated...


I also imagine a general theme or story to the hack would make things a little easier.
