Old flash signature has been revived for nostalgic purposes. Too bad RpgWizard hasn't been revived. :\

The Taming Ifrit pic is pretty awesome, I also like the Orlah Scarlet pic.
Though, with the cut out to reveal her stomach... It might be better if you try to draw a curve that follows the shape of her torso, it better portrays a fit abdomen (assuming that's what you were going for). That or a straighter line can work, depending on the character's physique (a slightly straighter line can be better for someone with a lot of muscle definition, where as an inward curve is better to portray slenderness). An outer curve, like the one you drew, typically makes her look a little pudgy, so if unless that's what you're going for a different shape would probably work better.

Glad you like the pencils, Puffin! I do have a thing for bellys though. I drew Yuffie a few months ago and one of my
art pals made the same crit you did, to which I replied 'Dude...you've seen my last three girlfriends.' which was
greeted with 'Yeah...you do like that don't you?'
Haha...Nothing wrong with a little meat to go with the potatoes. ;D

I'll keep posting as long as people seem
interested, Stars!

Speaking of! MORE TEASERS FOR THE COMIC! JUST PENCILED THIS!

WELL. The comic is all done, the whole thing'll be out on the Void website in a couple of days. Incidentally the pencils in the above post got
re-assigned to being the file for the finished page, so take a gander. I'll post the whole thing here once the comic is up/voted on. :D

That was pretty great. I like that the trap was in a 4e book. Makes it more evil. =p Also liked the character Kars rolled for himself.

Also this.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Trend Micro warned me that your link was dangerous, but I clicked a box that said I believed it to safe and asked them to review it. Maybe it'll get you a new fan if the reviewer reads the comic. =p

Glad you guys like the comic and took the time to read it! It means a lot to me.

Page 2 was pretty fun to do, I wasn't sure if everyone would get the memes.

Read it soon, MD. Read. It. Soon. :P

Stars, yeah I tried to fit in a lot of little jokes through the comic. I wanted people to be entertained not just from the art and story
but from all the small things. :D

I read it, though I've only had the time to write up what I thought now. XP It's pretty cool! :D I was thoroughly entertained by Skully, and page two, as everyone's said, was awesome. I also found the character designs nifty, as well as a lot of the layouts of the pages. I really liked the skull-motif with the last page. I didn't catch it at first, but when I did, it was nifty. :3

If I were to give more of a critique, I'd say you might want to pay a bit more attention to faces and head shapes (though mainly the former, there were a few awkward head shapes, but they kind of just looked like a slip of the pen more than anything)). At times they're off, especially when a character may be making a worthwhile expression. Granted, I dunno how pushed for time you might have been or if you were on a deadline, so it's entirely possible that it was only a result of you not actually being able to correct those errors. If it is something you might be having difficulty with, then I'd just suggest doodling various faces when you can.

I also don't know if you wrote this, so if you didn't, you can disregard this little bit, but the first person narration could have been held back at points. It's a good effect during the intro or during parts where dialogue might not fit, (such as when he says "For the first time in a long time, I didn't feel so hungry.") but there were times where it would've been better to just show what happens. Granted, it's easier to just say that things happened, but at the same time, by showing what happens between the characters, it makes the reader actually feel as if they're getting to know them. They'll become more attached and they'll care about the outcome of the comic, or at least be more likely to read it all the way through. It's not a terrible mistake and I do like the first person narration, but it's good to ease off it now and then. You don't necessarily need to tell us about the action a character is performing, especially when one or two more panels here and there would suffice in showing it. Furthermore, if you're going by the idea that the first person narration is what he's thinking as the story goes along, rather than him recounting the story, then you'd definitely want to ease off it. No one really inner-monologues about what they're doing all the time (like, while you might think 'Heh, Skully, I like that.' when you've thought of a good nickname for someone, you're probably not going to think about how a person wordlessly took a book or think about how that pop sounded like a soda can at that particular moment).
'Course I can understand if you were on a page limit. It certainly would cut down page space to sum things up via narration, then.

Thanks puffin, that's a great critique you've got there, on both the writing and the art.

Yes, I was very rushed for time and I was hastily drawing and inking everything thus we have many mishappen head shapes, truncated limbs and just an overall lack of sequential unity through
the entire comic. It's a bit saddening to me, but honestly this has been my most complete work so I still remain proud of the work done, regardless of artistic flaws. Haha.

The writing is a lot more difficult to explain away because I REALLY wanted to go with this heavy, heavy narrative vs. letting the art do the talking mostly for style's sake. The whole feeling of the comic
was supposed to be a noire style detective radio show/movie and how the main characters constantly give a play by play of what's going on. I personally enjoy extremely text-heavy comics. I love
feeling like I've experienced something through words AND art instead of just looking at a bunch of pretty pictures with a shoe~string plot to tie them all together. Although a lot of monologue might
seem unnecessary, I believe it fits the character and let's others see what kind of person he actually is.
Also, no these aren't really his full thought processes. If I was going to do that, I'd just tack on more a deadpool feel to it. (Because Deadpool is constantly aruging with himself in his comic.)

And that...is I dunno. My thoughts. lol.

Totally understandable to be proud. :D I've got quite few hastily drawn comics of my own that I'm immensely proud of. And I had a feeling of that with the narrative, it did remind me of a few comics or of the noire stuff, like you said, but it was a little hard to tell since at first the setting didn't appear to match that style of narrative. Or rather, didn't match my idea of it (I'd be more likely to use it in a noire setting myself, but that of course doesn't mean it should be limited to just that).
