Mindfizzle looked at his roomies and then focussed his attention to bear eyeing him nevously

A man with a pale face shuffled in, his glossy eyes scanned the room but never really focused on anything and he moaned. His hair and clothes were a mess, and there seemed to be red on his neck. He fell flat on his face in the middle of the floor. A note fell from his hand, but anyone who attempted to read it saw only chicken scratch.

[Amethyst]

"Uh.... Fillmore? Are you okay?"
Bear's eyes flickered with a thought.
"...So, you're tired? Just what were you doing all night? And what's in your hand?"

*pokes fillmore with a stick


takes the note out of his hand and reads it, (also writes in chicken scratch), and instantly bursted with laughter.

[Monkeydog]

"How can one be laughing at a time like this? Our lives are at stake! And lives have already been taken. What could be so hilarious that you can laugh at it Fizzle?"

[Hyperlisk]

"Wait... Why are we dividing into groups...?" asked Hyperlisk, talking to no one in particular. "Wouldn't it be best if we DIDN'T split up? I mean... They always split up in the movies, and then what happens? They die."

[Odon]

Odon's eyes went wide as a few people started throwing accusations his way.
"Alright! I recant! I have no proof it was monkey. . OR ANY OF YOU! I don't want to sleep in the same room as one of you people!"
He glanced around, becoming fidgety and nervous, then started flailing his arms and running up and down the hall screaming.
"OHHH MEEEEE GAAWD WE'RE ALL GANNAA DIIIIIEEE! MERDE DI DIOS! MY MAMA SAVE MEEEEH!"
He tore off out the doors into the cold, dark night, the doors slamming ominously behind him, leaving the corridor in a thick befuddled
silence. A moment later he came screaming back in.
"OHHH MEEE GAAAWD IT'S COOOLD OUT THERE!!! O_O I'M GONNA DIE FROM HYPOTHERMIA OR SOME OTHER TYPE OF DISEASE! I MIGHT AS WELL DIE
IN MY SLEEP WHEN SOMEONE KILLS ME!!!"
He ran into his room and shoved his head under his pillow, praying morning would come soon.
As if in afterthought, he crept from the saftey of his bed and stuck his head out the door into the hall.

"GENNIFER DID IT! I KNOW SHE DID! SHE DOESN'T LIKE GUYS AND SLEPT WITH MOST THE TEACHERS AND CHAPERONES SO THEY'D LET HER DO WHAT SHE WANTED ON THIS TRIP!!"
With that he slammed the door shut. A series of clicks and thunks followed as he locked down the door, followed by a few chairs and other furniture barricading it, and returned to the warmth of his bed, not expecting to wake up the following day. . .

[Monkeydog]

"Jenkies Hyppy! You're right! We should all stay together."

[Xteven Xavier]

"The note," he was still laughing in fits, "it sais ' Need more condoms'," he said and continued to laugh uproariously.

[Stars]

With that he slammed the door shut. A series of clicks and thunks followed as he locked down the door, followed by a few chairs and other furniture barricading it, and returned to the warmth of his bed, not expecting to wake up the following day. . .

BLU was walking down the hallway, returning to the group when BLU noticed Odon rush past him into the bedroom. After attempting to open the bedroom door, BLU realized that the furniture was too heavy, and there was no way in.


"Well that's just great. Now I'm trapped out of my room. Bear or Monkey, since we're supposed to be grouped up anyway, do you mind if I bunk with you guys tonight? I don't mind Monkey's noises"

[Monkeydog]

"That's fine with me BLU, as long as you don't kill me in my sleep...and Bear, don't kill him either."

[Amethyst]

"Without the over dramatic rampant irrational insane illogical hyper attitude, I think perhaps we should all follow Odon's lead. Let's shut ourselves in for the night ((As a general rule, we're excusing ridiculously short days for pacing)). I'll leave it up to you all if you want to sleep only with your normal roommates, or as your whole groups. I'll come around in ten minutes to check that every door is locked."

[First night]

Each student went to their rooms without a disturbance that night. Within minutes, each student, be it in pairs or groups, was securely locked away in their room, supposedly safe. Each would climb into their bed and sleep, and hope to wake up the next morning.

But this was not the case for one, who walked right into his sleep, an eternal one.

He made to climb gently into his bed, but despite all patrols and supposed defenses, tragedy struck, and his foot where he would make to get into his place of slumber landed just on the point of a carefully placed peel of a banana, and as we've seen so often in the adventures of Tom and Jerry, that tends to annihilate friction faster than Speed Racer can park. The lad slipped into his bed, and the banana peel slid back under the bed out of sight, a trap that vanished as it left its mark, and the student fell into bed, face up, silently, as if he'd collapsed and passed out the second he'd hit the pillow.

What the students would find when mindfizzle's head never left that pillow was that there was a small nail, stuck through it, now lodged into the back of his skull, bathed in the juice of his brain, and the heat of his blood. And the last essence of his life silently poured out with the end of the day.

Odon looked down on the body of mindfizzle, and he didn't look happy, or panicked, or anything. .. just looked sullen.
"Okay, so no one is probably going to believe me, but before Mindfizzle was killed, he sent me a note."
Odon holds up a slip of paper.
"And no it doesn't say anything condoms," he added glaring around before the joke could be popped. "No, what it says
is the following. . . "

"Now the question is. . .was he trying to tell us something. . .or was he wasting time and just being an idiot . . .?"
Odon shakes his head.
"In any case, we now know that the murderer isn't Mindfizzle. . ."
His eyes got big and his words trailed off. . .then he went screaming out of the room.
"WE'RE ALLLLL GONNNNAAAA DIIIIIEEEE OOOOOHHHMMMEEEEGAAAAAWWWD!"

[Lycanth]

Lycanth facepalms. "...I'll follow Odon, he may get himself in trouble."

[BottomGuy]

“Can I just say that the way mindfizzle died is really freaking me out right now? The teachers got stabbed in the throat which doesn’t take a genius to do, but someone planted a bloody nail in his bed. And then somehow he slipped onto the nail perfectly. That’s like….like….Sherlock Holmes meticulous planning crazy right there!”

BG pulled at his hair trying to wrap his brain around it. He could handle mind games like in a chess game, but this was insane. He cupped his hands up to his mouth for a moment trying to warm them up before bringing them down and speaking his mind.

“I think that maybe Hyperlisk was right yesterday, we shouldn’t split up at all. At first I thought that so long as we split into big enough groups we’d be fine but that obviously didn’t work. I think we’d be safer as one big group at night, sleep in the common area, you know? Then we can have three or four people take shifts at a time at night to keep watch, that way we’re always covered if the murderer is awake or someone else slacks on their duties. There’s no way that whoever is doing this can take us all at once so we just have to make sure they don’t get us alone. The best thing we can hope for is preventing any more openings for someone to die until this storm passes, then we can get the hell out of here!”

"So then ... should we be concerned that Lycanth and Odon are off alone somewhere? 2 people is not a large number against a murderer. And who was supposed to be on patrol last night?"

'Wouldn't the people on patrol most likely be the murderer? They would have the most access to all those who were sleeping, and were most aware of what had been going on throughout the night'. BLU pondered this thought while also trying to figure out the best plan of action to make sure Lycanth and Odon are alright.

[Odon]

Odon came screaming in from some deep part of the building.

"BY THE WAY. . .!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. "I THINK WE SHOULD TOSS LYCAN OUT INTO THE SNOW! HE'S EVIL! HE'S STALKING ME!"
With that, he turned and went screaming back the way he came.

[Puffin]

"Sleeping in the common room?" Puffin interjected, finally breaking his little silence, "What, so we can all be murdered faster in the open? I think we're better off locking ourselves in at night, we just have to be careful of, you know, traps." As Odon came screaming back, he felt tempted to cover his ears from the shrieking, but as soon as he'd run off again Puffin heaved a sigh, "Can we do something about him? I mean, I know this is pretty hectic, but can't he at least panic....quietly?"

Fillmore shuffled in, still dazed, just wondering why everyone was gathered in this room. Then he saw it, the body of his best friend. Andrew Ryan "Xteven Xavier" "Your Mindfizzle Kung-Fu" Stevens, AKA Walter Melon. The wail he let out could be heard around the world and he stalked up to the nearest person he could find, GenerallyGenifur.

"YOU! I don't know who did this but I promise you I will find this person and kill them myself. I will do what it takes to bring this person to justice, and I will not sleep until such a time as that person has paid for the sins they have accosted to me. You can kill my tecahers, take my chaperones, but the one thing you cannot take... IS MY FRIENDSHIP! This ends now!" His gaze swept across the entire room. "I don't know who did this, but I know one thing. Whoever it was. You're dead. And not just regular dead. Your super dead. I'll start with your toenails. Then break your fingers. I'll peel away your skin, and if you even think you'll be dead from the pain, I assure you, I'll keep you in perfect health. Then, for a final goodbye, I'll take a square pyramid, fitted with razors. I'll attach this to a whirlygig, and place this under a chair you're strapped to. Ever wonder what humanjuice tastes like? I'll let you know.

"Until someone knows something, I'll be in my office." With that, he stomped off toward the bathroom.
