After restarting it for the sixth/seventh time (it bloody needs that many restarts to get at a decent level of difficulty/fun), I am finally finishing Dead Rising, and thoroughly enjoying absolutely every minute of it. I've just got to the bit where the [color=#000000;background:#000000;' onmouseover="this.style.color='#FFFFFF'" onmouseout="this.style.color='#000000']Special Ops[/color] come in, and [color=#000000;background:#000000;' onmouseover="this.style.color='#FFFFFF'" onmouseout="this.style.color='#000000']Jessie's become a zombie, etc[/color]. Trying to figure out how to spend the rest of the time in the mall. Already got the Legendary Soldier achievement, might go try to [color=#000000;background:#000000;' onmouseover="this.style.color='#FFFFFF'" onmouseout="this.style.color='#000000']shoot that chopper down[/color].

Also, it tries to be an RPG and action game at once, and just doesn't work on either respect quite right.

All games(and action games are especially at fault at this) now, try to be an RPG. Or at least steals element from RPGs. Hell, you can point out RPG attributes in even Madden and Guitar Hero.

Plus, it's not much different from Seikien Denetsu games. Although Kingdom Hearts is quite bland, not much fun there.

I've been playing tons of old PSX RPGs.

Breath of Fire IV, Suikoden II, Digimon World, TALES OF DESTINY <333, Thousand Arms, etc...been thinking of picking up Lunar II again, it's been so long old friend. It's been almost a decade since it's come out(and I bought it the day it came out) and I have never beaten it. Same with the first Lunar, although I almost did but had to give it back. : (

You should totally play the second Lunar again, Monkey. *hasn't beaten the second one either, though he's beaten the first at least four times when combining it with the GBA version*

I've got the inexplicable urge to play Oblivion with a purely ruff-n-tumble melee fighter, which is strange since I almost always play stealthy characters in any game that gives you the option to do so.

Yesterday I managed to pick up Brawl + Wiiloader, so I started on that a bit. Also bought Bleach: Shattered Blade for Wii but, well, I am just a massive Bleach fan. ._.

For lack of another Go simulator (one that doesn't require two human players), I've started playing a Japanese r0m (I refuse to pay $50 to import it...) of Hikaru no Go 2 for GBA. I'd never played Go before, but I know the basic rules of the game thanks to the Hikaru manga and a how-to-play book I bought several months ago. So far I've just done versus mode to get the hang of the game, and I've won 4 out of 4 games so far. =D Granted, they were all played against Fukui, the lowest ranked CPU character, but it still makes me happy.

Does anyone here know how to play Go? I'd like to find a real person to play with after I've gotten the hang of it a bit more.

Tales(when I first tried typing it, it came our Rakes, ha) of Destiny still.

I have grown to kind of dislike the battle system, mainly because of random encounters that happen far too much for my liking.

I would play Tales of Legendia, but I heard it's kind of weak for a Tales game...and I have not much of a reason to when I can still play Eternia, Destiny, Phantasia, and Abyss.

Think I may pick up playing the original Grandia soon.

Okay, that was weird. I was wandering around the fields in Oblivion again, and all of a sudden, I was being attacked, and I couldn't find the assailant anywhere. When my life was about half gone, I got desperate and went into 3rd person view but still didn't see anything. Randomly, I noticed some faint flickering in front of me and started swinging around blindly at it. Turns out I was being attacked by an invisible rat and an invisible timber wolf; they became visible once they were dead. o.O
