Yeah, I wasn't held back but did have a similar thing happen at that age. Wanna know what I did? Befriend the other outcasts and dating mister falconi's sister. Which is completely unrelated but I like to remenice. And then one day two of my friends chellenged each other to a duel and I was supposed to be one of their seconds falconi was supposed to be the other's turns out the fight was super boring because neither of them knew how to fight so I walked over and started talking to lazlo. We've basically been best friends since.
Which of coarse led me to the internet and eventually here.

been thinking. why does our species hold the whole process of school-work-family-death in such high regard? i feel like one's measure of success in life is directly proportional to how much you deny your animal individualism, and "give in" to the system. what does it mean to be a human when being human means shedding your animal nature?

Pfft, shit, it doesn't matter. We go to school for jobs, and not much else. And I feel like shit, but it'll pass, and the world moves on.
And thanks for the support, not so close internet strangers. I am both flattered and slightly more depressed because the few people I can actually talk to, and not even that, are some dudes/dudettes that really don't give two shits about me.

i decided tonight i want to bike the continental divide trail by the time i'm 30. in two months i'll be closer to being 30 than 20, and it's a scary thought. i can't imagine the misanthrope i'm gonna be at 50.
