my cat jumped on my keyboard and it typed out /[8999 in the url bar. i figured what the hell, and hit enter. it popped up as some cabinet, but more importantly it popped up a cabinet at this site called finders cheapers which not only made me laugh, but its an alternative to overstock.com

also: ill have what he's having

Huh? I've heard of desalinization plants that could purify ocean water years and years ago (actually, probably around the time that movie came out), but that they're expensive to make, and not feasible as a water solution for the southwestern areas that rely heavily on the Rio and aquifers (which is what we were discussing at the time).

"Man-made Genetic Instructions Yield Living Cells for the First Time"

this is pretty impressive (and expected), and will undoubtedly create room for new possibilities in synthetic biology.

Ive been thinking about this a lot lately. its 2010, and im not bummed about not having flying cars, but why don't we have robots that can do everything for us? why aren't more robots used in manufacturing? not just in factories, but in fast food, like mcdonalds and taco bell where the food is made in an assembly line setting. how could we move away from having a world run on money? if we had robots that could behave with even the most primitive logic, we could do away with everything that makes life hard.

[btw im not drunk posting, im watching that simpsons episode where homer gets the work station because he's 400 lbs and gets the bird to use the computer for him]

The hunt for his owner resumes in the morning. But aww, he's cute. And he has the same fur color as my puppy. <3

Reminds me of the cat we found on our porch last week. She stayed around all week, and we had to take her to the animal shelter because it was going to storm hard. She should be going to the humane society today to find some new owners <3

I have a love hate relationship with Blockbuster.

I LOVE their used movie prices. 3 for 20 or 5 for 20? Yes please.

But oh my god, renting anything from there is ridiculous. $9 for Red Dead Redemption (which you don't even have in stock for me to get) for five days? No thank you.

I want to see Despicable Me but the theater is only playing it in 3D.

Stupid movie theater.

You should just see it in 3D. :<
It's not too over-the-top or anything.
I didn't think so, at least.

3D gives me a headache, I'd have to wear my contacts, and I don't want to spend more money to see a movie I don't care that badly to see.

Plus Inception comes out in a few days. Must see that movie. Thank god it isn't in 3D.

Ahh, okay.
It is getting pretty annoying how EVERYTHING is in 3D now.
I mean, I like it once in a while.
But I'll be glad when this whole trend is over.
