Mahaha, that was perfect. I was watching my Naruto Shippuden DVDs just now, and it was at the end of an episode with Sakura and Chiyo fighting Sasori (one of Kamau's favorite battles). It was at the part where they trapped Sasori's puppet body with that crazy sealing item, but his core escaped into another puppet and attacked Chiyo. The episode ended with Sakura jumping in front of Sasori's poisoned blade. They did a freeze frame, a motion blur, and just as the screen was fading to the credits, a huge thunder crack sounded off outside my window. The dramatic timing was so perfect I couldn't help but bust out laughing.

Just watched Solomon Kane, after hunting it for nearly 2 years. It came out sometime in 2009, but it's a European film and it STILL hasn't been localized. One of my friends found it on the torrents and sent it to me.
A decent sword and sorcercery flick. It gets a lot of things right where a lot of movies get them wrong, but low production values and mediocre fight choreography/story adaptaion hold it back from being a great one.

My friend forced me to watch Repo! The Genetic Opera. I uh...didn't really care for it. Lots of exposition diarrhea in gimmicky song form. "THIS IS WHAT I'M DOING AND I AM A BAD GUY AND I'M SINGING." And the whole thing was shot sort of like a really long Nine Inch Nails music video.

Finally saw The Departed, though, because I never saw it for some reason, and that was quite good.

I really haven't been keeping up with anime lately. I have a habit of starting a series and never finishing it.

Series that I've started include:

- Yawara! The Fashionable Judo Girl (About a girl who does Judo. Go figure.)
- Hajime No Ippo (An anime about Boxing)

Still waiting for the new Bleach dubs to come out. I can't watch subs...too much effort.

I WAS watching Naruto Shippuden but I got bored and stopped watching. Not sure if I'll ever return to watching anime...

I downloaded Cowboy Bebop, since it was freeleech on iptorrents. Then I realized that I wanted the dub rather than the sub (since that's the flavor I remember watching, and I'm aiming for maximum nostalgia here) so THEN I DOWNLOADED IT AGAIN. Now I am watching it.

/best story ever.

edit: Is there a show with a better opening theme than this one? I don't think there is.

Is that the Ricky Gervais film?

I saw it once, with my friend. We enjoyed it (specifically for the Tina Feyness). It just seems to DRAG ON TOO LONG. And the ending is butt.

Yeah, that's the one. I agree that it was a bit long, but I still enjoyed it greatly, except for how they reused the little kid at the end of the movie. XD That part, I had a tiny rant about. But it's all good.

Sniper: Inside the Cross-hairs

Look inside the science and psychology of some of the best sniper shots in (US) history. Snipers scare me enough in video games, and these guys are just amazing in a deadly way.

Rewatched Dragon Z the abridged series at Fanime. Nappa is still my favorite. <3

Also watched the ghibli studio film, tales of earthsea. I liked it, but not the best told of stories...

Not familiar with that one. Is it a Takahata film or a Miyazaki film that I haven't heard about yet?

EDIT: Ah, it was done by Miyazaki's son. Cool.

I just finished rewatching Cyborg 009 last night. If you weren't on last night when I finished the series, count yourself lucky because I probably would have messaged you like I did Cy in order to rant and rave for a little while. ^^;

Tl;dr rant: Cyborg 009 has 51 episodes to the series: 48 actual episodes, and a 3-episode "conclusion" that, from what I've seen of it, basically defies all of the events of the final episode of the actual series. But I can't tell for sure since I've only seen the first episode of it (episode 49) because the final two episodes aren't included in my boxset! /end

So yeah. Ranted for a little while, then did an extensive Google search in an attempt to find episodes 50 and 51, but failed except for finding them in Spanish. I don't really want to watch them in Spanish unless I have to, though. >.> I've found the entire series for sale on Ebay (episodes 1-51) but it's $43 and I do technically own the series already...and when I subtly brought it up to my mom, she neatly shot the idea down before I had even finished. (For the record, I only brought it up because my own discs are scratched up to the point where I can't watch some of the episodes; the disc skips right over them. I included this in my after-attempt with her as part of a sympathy play, but I'm pretty sure she ain't buying it- or the episodes.)

Maybe when I have money...Or hopefully future searches will allow me to find a torrent or something illegal like that.

Pokemon: Adventures on the Orange Islands.

It's pretty funny, nearly as good as the Indigo League (And this is coming from a guy looking back through nostalgia glasses). They sort of Flanderized Jessie and Meowth, but not too much. It's kind of fun for me because I never watched this series when it was on, but I certainly suggest it.
