YAY stealing wallpaper from DeviantArt (don't hate me...)

I usually HATE shortcuts and icons and whatnot, but this time i figure i'd better have my priorities, starting, of course, with Episode #Next, working down to the end of the season....<3 The Office
Anyways, for your viewing pleasure...

And here's mine, I just redid it, and made it more minimalistic, only because I wasnt in the mood to actually try and make it look good...

Well -- I couldn't decide which wallpaper to use, so my desktop switches wallpaper every 5 minutes. So, what you see now doesn't last very long.
And, like every other Beryl user, I had to show off the fancy beryl cube thingy. You know you're jealous.

Multiple desktops are nice, but that cube thing is useless.

The cube thing is just a pretty way to switch between multiple desktops.

And yes, it is kind of useless, but my desktop alone can entertain me for quite some time

And to answer your question Arutha, beryl adds pretty affects throughout the desktop, by adding window effects, transparency, the cube thingy. Here's an example. <-- Yes, everyone is overly-obsessed with the cube.

Oh, and to Hyperlisk and Eyre, it really doesn't take up too much system resources and whatnot...unless you turn on everything and then try to make things transparent like in the video.

It does have 1 time-saving feature, which allows you to pull up all open windows and organize them all prettifully which allows you to choose which one you want. They do that a couple times in the video...

As do I. what's the cool taskbar~ish thing at the bottom though? I've never seen it before, 'tis quite awesome. I'm currently in the process of trying to find a decent dock/taskbar for linux, everything i've tried so far is a tad too glitchy or ugly though...

Crazy new desktop. Super simplified. No, really. I don't even use a menu ("start") button anymore. I bound a random key to use the run command, and i launch every program that way. Since I only use my touchpad with my lappy, it's actually quite a lot faster. So happy times.

Yay! What distro of Linux are you using, and why Kopete with GNOME?

I'd post my desktop, but it's too messy right now.

I'm just using regular ol' Ubuntu.

Why kopete? Cuz I was playing around with it. Pidgin is still better. But Pidgin is too bland. I miss trillian.

I think I'm just going to jump to the conclusion that all IM clients suck. I hate all of them.
T_T and now my desktop is clean enough to be posted, but i'm virtually installing XP on it so's i can try Photoshop CS3...which is being kinda retarded and trying to take over my computer T_T.
