What are you on about? The movie is really just the Endless Eight or whatever.
"The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is the title of the fourth volume in Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito's original Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series[...] The main story in this volume has yet to be animated."
EDIT: From Wikipedia, on the fourth volume of the light novels:
"In this novel, the story takes place from December 17 until December 24 a month after the cultural festival. On December 17, everything is normal—the SOS Brigade plans to have a nabe party for Christmas. However on December 18, Kyon arrives at school to find everything has changed—Haruhi Suzumiya is missing, and Ryoko Asakura is a normal student. Kyon is the only one who notices anything different. Nagato is an ordinary human, and Mikuru does not recognize him. The only clue is a bookmark left by the alien version of Nagato, which leads Kyon on a quest back in time, where he interacts with the storyline from "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody", trying to sort out the mystery and return to his own time line."

I'm also far from happy about Endless Eight actually counting as Eight different episodes.
That didn't go anywhere, did it? The re-runs have concluded, right?

If only I lived near San Francisco.
Also, I need to find someone with an iPhone and get them to download the Day of Sagittarius III app so that I can play it...

Haven't seen anything about a release date for the movie yet, but season 2 will be available on DVD on August 17.
Sweetness. Oh and to those who thought the Endless Eight arc was annoying. Well, you're kinda right but it was still awesome. It was as if they were trying to make us Imagine what Nagato must've felt like except Nagato's situation was 1,000,000 times worse.

But it was still not a great thing to do to the viewers, and was what killed the popularity. At any rate, I would've been okay with it if they had actually made more original episodes in addition to the repeats to make it more like a full season, but this was just depressing.

*goes off to find a torrent*
EDIT: Okay, this is just sad. I found a torrent with the sub in 1080p and got the whole thing downloaded overnight. Even after downloading three new codecs, the audio does not work. I've tried DirectShow as recommended by DivX, AC3 as recommended at a some forum, and FLAC as recommended by MediaInfo, but to no avail. The error reads: "This file contains a track in an unknown format (code "4294967295") format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file."
I had found a stream while searching for the torrent, so I'm trying to watch that instead. It has to pause every few seconds to load more, so I'm going to try letting it sit for a while to curb that.
EDIT 1.5: There's also a good MegaVideo stream. I'll just have to watch it in parts. <_<
EDIT 2: Now I'm really super impatient for it to come out on DVD. That was thoroughly wonderful.
EDIT 3: Apparently it's coming out sometime this spring. Woot.
