If anyone else watches these 2 shows feel free to join in.

Who you rooting for in Amazing Race, Kamau? I've always liked the Cowboys. Idk why. I can't believe it took a few groups so long to find the dresses. I'm glad the team that got cut, got cut. Teams that bicker the entire time annoy me.

As far as Survivor goes, I've only watched one season so far... The last one. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game is played with all new participants. Last season had some all stars in it.

Amazing Race - This season excites me because there are only a few teams that I'm not rooting for, at least from the get-go. (I think the only team I wish would have been added to the list would be the Chippendales. If they were here, it'd be perfect.)

110% my favorite's the Cowboys. I love them so much, and love watching them race.

I don't like the Afghanimals. I started off liking them last season but didn't like how they raced as the game went on.

I like Margie and Luke, and hopefully they don't have a breakdown like they did last time they raced.

I don't have a huge opinion on the Globe Trotters (never have) but I like that they don't usually argue, so I hope they stick around.

I don't really remember Jessica and John, so no opinion on them yet.

Same with Brendon and Rachel.

My dad haaaaates Joey and Meghan. I like them as long as Joey doesn't get all over-the-top.

My absolute, hands down, without a doubt least favorite team is Natalie and Nadiya.

I felt so bad for Will and Mark, but I'm also not a fan of the new combo because I don't really like Mallory. I don't see them working well enough to make it far in the game.

I like Jennifer and Caroline, so I'm glad they're back.

And even more glad that Dave and Connor got to come back! I was so upset when they were forced from the game due to injury last time.

So summarized: I'm rooting for the Cowboys, Dave and Connor, and Jenn and Caroline. So far.

I'd like to see the Afghanimals go home next, or Mark and Mallory.

I was superpleased at who went home. There was zero reason to be bickering so much in the first leg.

Survivor - I've been watching this since I was 11 so I suppose I've got a bit of a leg up on you here, haha. I'm interested in this season's concept, but I'm just kind of hoping it's not stupid. I'm also looking forward to seeing if they throw any additional twists into the game, like maybe having them pick one member from another team to help with challenges or something. (I don't see it happening, it'd just be really cool.)

Jessica and John were the ones who had the express pass, didn't use it, and came in last. John is annoying in his approach and I would be fine if they left.

All I remember about Rachel is she cried a lot. I dont really care for them either, and yeah Mallory annoys me too.

I also would say Dave and Connor are one of my favorites. To win a leg... On one leg takes skill.

Also Luke had a breakdown both times they raced, didn't he? I would like to see them go far as well.

I don't remember much of the second time they raced (or at least, one of the two times). I just remember his breakdown with the...surfboards? He mentioned tea but I don't remember that one. And ahh yes the express pass mishap. I laughed at that quite a lot.

And yes! Dave and Connor came in first twice - on an injury! And they only left because they were forced. I am beyond pleased that they're getting another chance.

I used to watch Survivor when I was a kid (watched from Pearl Islands up until about Exile Island, then it all got a bit out of control).

Also, I moved out of my mom's house at some point, and since I didn't have her to remind me the show was on, I completely forgot about it.

I really should watch past seasons, but how and why and effort.

But I'm watching an awful anime.

And I forgot what channel it was even on.

And I am pretty sure they have changed the rules.

Like it wouldn't surprise me if eliminated players were fed to Jeff Probst by spoon at this point.

I highly don't recommend watching past seasons. :p If only because they're already over and trying to look them up will probably just spoil who won/not be interesting unless you watch the entire season.

There weren't many exciting 'twists', really. Especially since you saw Exile Island. They keep using it (last season was 'blood vs water' and was past survivor players vs their loved ones. That was probably the only one I can recall being really unique.) I'd also recommend the heroes vs. villains one but if you haven't watched all the seasons it won't have as big an impact on you.

It starts tonight! You should join in and watch! :D

Also, just a warning, I don't get to watch Survivor till I get home around 10, so I probably won't comment on it till late tonight/tomorrow.

I might give it a watch, but I'm so out of the loop, it wouldn't surprise me if it's no longer the show I liked as a kid.

I will be watching it delayed as well. This is my last time checking the thread until I do so.

What if it's changed for the better, Leggy and you like it doubly as much? Wouldn't hurt to watch the first episode and find out.

First impression of this season is I like the premise.

Brains v. Beauty v. Brawn. I think the Brawn tribe will likely win this one. Brains are helpful, but it's easier to be strong and also be somewhat intelligent than intelligent and somewhat strong.

Though I will say, I like this David guy in the coat. He's the president of the Marlins of baseball, and he's the main reason I'm watching at this point.

Little offtopic, but I don't like the beauty tribe much already, I already get the air they are shallow and self centered.

EDIT - Looks like the Brain tribe is in trouble. A nuclear engineer can't engineer a freaking shelter. It's not rocket science. Trying to be too fancy will cost you.

EDIT 2 - First Challenge. Brain tribe is absolutely terrible. Turns out being smart isn't everything after all.

My thoughts: Brains team is a hot mess. Too many arrogant people that are all thinking long term and should be thinking short term.

I like people on each team but so far I like Cliff and Woo the best on Brawn Team.

I like Cliff and Woo too.

I don't like anyone on the Brains team at all (maybe the quiet guy who's still there, he seems quiet in relation anyways) but the Beauty team is probably going to be the most interesting to watch going forward.

The Brawn team seems pretty straight forward, the Brain team (as established) is a total mess, and then there's the Beauty team, who look to use the most deception.

One note is I hate how the Brain team operated on the 2nd Tribal Council. They took all the Survivor out of Survivor, and basically took all the strategy out of it. So glad to see that guy leave.

I agree that the Brain team is a mess. Though I can't say 'hot mess' because the one 'hot' factor was just eliminated. But things are about to get even crazier, I feel. I mean, I'm really glad that Garrett went home because his ego was way too big (sidenote, I cannot wait to see who stumbles across the idol he left at camp) and his way of playing the game was absolutely terrible. Plus, he was already whining about food and how he wanted to 'play Survivor, not starve'. Uhm, if you wanted to play Survivor, how come you were so adamant about an open forum powwow? You sure changed your mind fast.

That said, I cannot stand the girl who almost went home (twice). Like, I was just dumbfounded by the fact that we're, what, three days in? Six, technically? I don't even know. And you dump the rice? If Garrett hadn't stuck his foot down his throat she would have had zero chance of sticking around. I just hope she goes home soon because from what I've seen, she's worthless. As Spencer put it, we should all be 'very, very afraid' of the fact that she's a nuclear engineer. Though I'll admit I laughed so hard when the shelter collaposed.

I could really care less about the Brain team at this point, but out of all of them I think I like Cas and Spencer most (and that's not saying much). Could care less about the other two.

I'm not sure whether I like Brawn or Beauty more. There are a lot of things I dislike about both but I'm leaning more towards Beauty because they're seriously kicking butt and coming back from behind and I think that's neat. I thought Morgan was really clever when she got caught looking for the idol and turned it around to say 'oh, yeah, I picked fishing supplies and rice and...' They totally know she was up to something, but that was still brain thinking there. I don't really have any 'favorites' on the Beauty tribe yet; no one really stuck out to me as someone to watch.

Brawn, I'm just hoping doesn't end up brawling. Especially the two 'factions' that I see beginning to form, what with the fighting between the two girls. I like the guy who found the idol, though his name escapes me.

Yeah, I think we're 6 days in presently, because of the "double" episode.

I loved how she dumped the rice. It was so ridiculously childish, and then somehow she survives the Tribal Council a second time. I was absolutely blindsided by the fact Garrett left before her (even though I'm glad Garrett left. If you don't like ALL the aspects of Survivor, don't PLAY Survivor.) and I don't think she's going to get lucky a second time.

I really hope the brains left survive for a couple more episodes though, because I really want to see them be absorbed (like in Pearl Islands, and All Stars). Why? Because the drama they'd bring (and possible chaos) is what could differentiate this season from all the others.

Even funnier about Garrett's elimination?

Here's a snippet from his profile.

"3 Words to Describe You: Competitive, Ambititious, Confident

...

...

Why you think you will be the Sole Survivor: Dedicated 2,000 hours in preparing for the strategic, social and physical elements of Survivor. Did everything from 50 hours of yoga, to over-analyzing every episode, to mastering slide puzzles to ready myself. I essentially devoted my entire life to preparing for this adventure for the previous 6 months. "

But going to J'Tia (girl who almost went home twice), she knocks it out of the park

"SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Richard Hatch. He played the game authentically and originally since he had no precedence, and was true to who he was."

It'll be interesting to see if that spy shack comes into play. I think Cass is smart and a good player on a bad team.

I think Morgan is over confident in hee looks and that may ultimately be her downfall. There really isn't anyone I dislike on Beauty.

On Brawn it seems like it's 4 vs 2 at the moment, but the immunity idol could help the 2. Personally I don't like the guy who found the idol. He is shady. I understand that's what the game is but I like to see the honest team players rewarded.

Isn't the guy who found the idol the same guy who made the spy shack? I thought that was genius. XD I love how all these brawn/beauty people are being smarter than the brains. As for 4 v 2 I think it'll all come down to what teams win challenges. If Brawn loses the next challenge, the factions might solidify. If they don't, things aren't set in stone, and all it will take is someone messing up to change them.

It's kind of funny to me because I don't think Morgan is all that hot but that beauty guy practically wants to worship the ground she walks upon because of her attractiveness.

Garrett's Survivor page makes me laugh. He prepared waaaay too hard, just to get eliminated second. Haha.

Yeah I thought the spy shack was pretty smart and cool. Just don't care for the guy that made it.

We need to have our own Survivor RP with tribes and challenges and hashtags and eliminations.

That sounds like an amazing idea, though it might be a bit too intricate for us. Haha. But it could be fun! Temporary member groups to signify tribes, hidden forums that only members of the tribe can access for discussion. PMs for forming alliances. Challenges could be things like playing certain games or posting certain things or finding something hidden on the forum or winning x games of trips or something. And voting could be similar to how we play the murder RP, or via a voting system like on the home page. I don't know about hashtags though. XD

"Beautiful" guys can be desperate too.

I mean, I like Morgan's look, she is rather attractive.

But if his goal is to get laid, he's not going to get it like that.
