Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

Heard the second half of this on the radio this morning. Was sad to find out it was not a Homestar Runner tribute song...

So I was looking for China's rendition of Lay Your Hands on me and I found this. I have never been so overwhelmed by the power of the 80s than I am now...

We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

"To Hell And Back" by Sabaton. A song about Audie Murphy, who was basically the real life Steve Rogers. The most terrifying, death-resistant monstrosity ever packed into a 5'5", 110 pound body.

In fact, in his own words, when asked what he was thinking after he watched his friend get gunned down by Nazis only pretending to surrender, shortly before he walked into the house they were hiding and single-handedly killed eight of them, wounded three, and took another 11 prisoner:

"I remember the experience as I do a nightmare. A demon seems to have entered my body. My brain is coldly alert and logical. I do not think of the danger to myself. My whole being is concentrated on killing."
