@Kspr - Maybe two hours, give or take 10-15 minutes, but it's not all cohesive yet and I'm always rearranging bits and pieces.

Slight update. I had no idea what this Mami thing was people were mentioning but I figured it had something to do with the character set, so I've changed it as well as the faces. Turns out Mami is from an anime or manga. Seriously I had no idea, I don't watch/read the stuff, not really my thing.
Quick shout out to LWG for giving me the faces which I have edited. You might also notice the bars underneath the faces, they to have just been added but aren't functional properly just yet, limit break :D
Oh and guys, which pose is better?

I agree. I vote for the first one. Looks like he is rdy for battle where as the second one it seems as if he has let his guard down a bit.

@Everyone - I've chosen the left one, might edit his sword and sprite a little more, but I find it easier to sprite poses off from it.

i think the right one would be good for critical health, he looks tired, and i cant imagine why he would hold a sword like that otherwise

I like it, it really does have the feel of a high class upscale hotel and where I do agree with monkey that there is something just a little... Off about the fountain I still really like it none the less.

yeah, it's the stairs. i cant really make it out, but is it a pipe pouring the water into the pool?what if you had one of those indoor waterfall types of things, and moved it up so it would be at, or right below the x axis of the picture? when youre standing on the same x axis, your character is higher on the hypothetical z axis, but it doesnt look like it suggests that. having something placed higher, and allowing the water to fall might suggest a higher z axis position.
