At first I misread this as "all the Nolan movies" and it blew my mind. And then I re-read and it makes a lot more sense./>A theater near me is playing all of the Nolan Batman movies in one night leading up to the midnight showing of Dark Knight Rises. I'm hyped.
I'd really love to see the Prestige in a cinema. I think that's my favourite Nolan, but nobody else seems to like it as much as I do.

I watched The Prestige pretty much on your recommendation, Bean, and I liked it a lot. David Bowie Nikola Tesla alone makes it worth it. Memento's pretty clever, too. I think the only one I haven't seen is Insomnia.

Man, you must be crazy. I've spoken to a lot of people who said they hadn't bothered to watched the Prestige because they'd heard it was like Illusionist and that they thought The Illusionist was crap. Because so many people have told me that I have never watched The Illusionist./>I hated The Prestige so much... Partly because I love The Illusionist, and someone had told me, "It's kinda like that movie" (which it's not), but mostly because I hated both of the main characters.
I thought all three of the main characters were awesome.

The Prestige is sooooooooooooo much better and has David Bowie (one of the world's greatest people) as Tesla (the world's greatest person).
The Illusionist is so meh.

Free electricity for EVERYONE! (I'm sure I used to understand the science behind how Tesla achieved this but now my brain hurts when I wiki him)

I will concede that I enjoyed Tesla. He and the "Are you watching closely?" line at the end were about the only things I remember liking.

/>I'm not even sure why people compare the two movies. The only thing they have in common is the stage magic theme.
Because they came out at the same time and how often do you see early 1900s stage magic movies? I can not even name another. Presto?

And yes, Batman. Must find time to go see this next weekend.

I'm intrigued. I don't think I've ever come out of a film feeling overly critical of the editing. But this is probably because of my general ignorance about film makings. What are the observable symptoms of bad editing?/>I enjoyed The Prestige, except for the editing.
Or do you mean script editing? As in they could have cut bits out? Have you read the book it's based on? HEAPS was cut out.

im meh on Catwoman... anne hathaway thinks 'maturing as an actress' means showing her boobs.
and christian bale is nuts too. he filmed The Machinist i think less than six months before that boxing movie he did.

I was going to try to explain myself, but the more that I try to think of what I meant, the more I realize that I haven't seen this movie in some time. I basically just meant showing things out of chronological order, but now I can only really think of one scene where they did that. I think I need to go watch this movie again./>I'm intrigued.
