/>I'm not big into animation - rather animation of the super hero kind. That looked corny to me. Or is it supposed to be?

Um excuse be but BTAS is like one of the greatest and most influential shows ever. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Lies.

Nothing but lies. It is awesome.

It's just 90s. Because...it was made in the 90s.

To be fair, animation in kids shows has come a long way since the 90's. Sometimes that show looked really good and sometimes it looked really bad. And while Kevin Conroy's voice is very sexy, he and Catwoman are totally phoning it in for that fake trailer. So I could see why someone would think it was cheesy just by that alone.

But I think Batman totally lends himself to animation. I love the art-deco style of the buildings and how everything looks retro and futuristic at the same time. That's the definitive Gotham to me, and it hasn't quite been matched in the movies.

I'm done being a huge geek now. I'm gonna go watch Mask of the Phantasm...

just saw it. let's break this down:

1)wtf was with the bane voice? it sounded like sean connery doing a darth vader impression. it may have been the theater, but it always sounded like bane's voice was coming from everywhere, and not tom hardy.

2)the prison scenes were way too long. just in case you missed it, it's a metaphor extended from the well from the first movie.

3)hi, i just met you, and this i crazy, but you have a herniated vertibrae, so let me pound it back in maybe? also, just stand there until you can walk again. no need for painkillers or anything, you'll be on your feet in no time. not only did he have the prison surgery, but fell twice with that rope harness. that should have cracked his spine in half.

4)when bane left the stock exchange, it was daytime. 8 in-movie (as opposed to in theater) minutes and a motorcycle chase later, it was midnight.

5) what was the point of cillian murphy being there, other than nolan liking to reuse actors and characters? wasn't scarecrow still crazy in the behinning of the second mocie?

6)back to bane. i felt like he had no character at all. you couldnt see his mouth, and you have to lend his eyebrows a lot of credit in order to carry the role. when he died, he came off as incredibly weak.

7)impending atomic anihilation. better stop to put on lipstick and eyeliner.

8) was the cartilage in his knees/elbows really gone? because they made a big point out of him using a cane, but then he's right back to being batman, and somehow a match for bane, who never left the merc life. his training never stopped, but batman can take 8yrs off, wreck his joints somehow, and still be in fighting shape?

So it wasn't just me who thought that. Good to know.

it says Sandy Hook. the map is from when they are trying to track the truck with the bomb in it, and have certain locations circled, but that's the only legible phrase on the map besides Gotham in the corner.

This all makes sense now.

We shouldn't talk about gun control or mental health issues in the United States. We really should be talking about Batman control.

I've said it in every other DKR thread... It's a batman fanfic. Terrible plot, horrible characterizations, poor pacing, it was pretty much the biggest letdown of the season, and I am so glad I didn't see it in theaters.

Also that can't be real. There is no way in hell. or is there?

So I finally got around to seeing this the other week, man I have to say it definitely seems like a Pro-government movie to me. The message that the bad guys, in particular Cat Girl was trying to get across was that the people are sick of the 1 percent controlling all the money and thus all the power of the world and that they were trying to stop this atrocity from continuing. Sure they went about it a bit of an Extreme way but I just have to say, the bad guys were sort of right on this one.

And truthfully that scene where the Cat explained that to him in the Ballroom was the only scene that I liked/made me feel something in the movie. That is the only scene I connected with a character and it was a bad guy, who ended up doing something good and running off with Batman in the end but still.she was a bad guy.

Man the plot of this movie is shaky as all hell.

it wouldve been so much better if at the end, Batman said "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb"
