Well, maybe not with the baby at this age. She has the rest of her life to sit in front of the TV, give her those first few years without. :P

Although I'm wondering how this version is hipster...? That doesn't make much sense to me.

That's what it kind of sounded like to me.

Although I don't actually care about convincing people to watch it that much. I got my friends to try watching it, that's enough for me.

True, but this isn't anime or manga, although the cartoonists like to portrait it as partly anime-like.

It's character-driven western animation. Although I would like more continuity (and they do have some, just... more), it keeps itself interesting fo sho. Even if it's not technically, anime, it's close enough to enjoy the same way.

I've chosen not to watch it for various other reasons, but regardless, it's supposed to be very good. I would say, "Don't knock it until you try it". Besides, it's not like most anime or manga are even well written.

Watch the first episode and find out? If you don't like it, then at least you have bashing validity.

^To that end, all of the episodes are available in high-def on youtube. You just have to watch out for occasional parody and troll videos.

Indeed. I watched the first two episodes. I love the art style. I've always loved colored borders around stuff. Reminds me of Samurai Jack, probably the first cartoon I remember that did that. I do love the animation style. It's very fluid. Reminds me of Flash, especially because it looks all vector-ey. Overall, pleasing.

That's what I've heard as well.
And Samurai Jack didn't have colored outlines. It just had no outlines (unless a color overlapped itself). :p Still an awesome show and art style though.
