Does anybody else here watch Fringe? A friend of mine got me started on it a while ago, and I'm nearly up-to-date; I just have five more episodes to go for now. Except for him - and to some extent my dad - I have no one else to rant and rave about this show with, so I thought I'd probe the population of MP for more fans of the series.

I do! I do!
i started the series when I got Netflix. I must say it is both engaging and enthralling. Once you're up to date let me know. I MUST rant about quite a few things. Seriously.

Oh wow, I had forgotten that Bryan Lee O'Malley is a fan of Fringe. That post was made before I had started watching any of it, so I didn't even know who the characters were at the time (I just randomly rediscovered it this morning).

And yay, a fellow Fringey (as my dad would say)! I got up to Marionette last night, and my friend told me it was safe to skip ahead to Subject 13 since it's a 1985 episode (I love the "retro" intro). Gonna watch *checks next episode* Firefly while I eat lunch. I didn't use to be able to do that - watch Fringe and still keep my food down - but I've more or less gotten used to their gruesome shenanigans. =p

EDIT: Also watched Reciprocity. Three more left to catch up.

At the beginning of some episodes I just listen then play it back to watch. Sometimes I just need to brace for it. I don't do it as often though. As you put it, "I've more or less gotten used to their gruesome shenanigans."

Just wait until you get to Immortality. That's a good one.

Yay for Walter talking about random foods while cutting up cadavers. =p
Or jamming a thermometer in a dead man's ear.
Or tasting cremated ashes.
And Peter and Astrid's reactions to him doing such things.

Walter is definitely one of my favorite characters of anything ever.

Agreed. I'm also partial to the alternate Astrid. Not sure why.

So...huh. Fringe is turning into a police-flavored soap opera now? (Just finished Immortality.)
Now I just need to watch 6B to be completely caught up~

Also, agreed on alternate Astrid being pretty cool. She's kinda like C-3PO except not annoying.

I know it seems that way and honestly I can see why. What with the show having to go back and forth between worlds and focusing more on Olivia and Peter. The science aspect of it all is easy to skim on. It gets better. I promise.

As I told my friend ("Thomas" from now on for simplicity's sake; same guy who didn't want to see Inception because he dislikes Leonardo DiCaprio), they should totally make a spin off for the CorteX-Men. =)

As for...

Season one is probably my favorite since this sort of thing wasn't even an issue yet. =p

There, finally up-to-date as of last night. I was glad that 6B was in the blue universe since Peter and Olivia don't yet know about what happened at the end of Immortality. That mitigated the soapiness of it. =p

As for Subject 13, I rather do not like her step dad, though I guess that's kinda the point of him.

EDIT: What did you think of the preview for next week? Do you suppose Walter will come up with some "soul magnets" to bring him back?

I don't watch and probably never will watch Fringe, but watching my roommate watch Fringe is a TV show all in itself. There is much screaming, covering of eyes, shrieking "No, don't do it!," "Ew, that's so gross!" "Oh my Gooooddd!" and throwing pillows at the television.

Hahaha. Sounds about as fun as watching my brother watch Big Bang Theory when he was still new to it. He would laugh so hard he would start kicking he legs up in the air (he's 12 years older than me). =p
However...

you should watch it too~

I have yet to watch the preview. I haven't been on the computer that much the last few days because of our moving and such.

That joke is rather funny after watching the preview.

And honestly, I didn't care too much for the preview. Now that I think on it, previews just make me want to punch whoever made them in the face. I just want the episode. Cheaters.

Spoiler

I suppose it was only appropriate. =p
I admittedly laughed at the accent his vessel was using at the end.

So now we know that Walter doesn't believe in ghosts, but calling dead souls back into bodies is okay with him for some reason.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the "retro" theme song is now my ringtone as of yesterday~
