PS2 Games are in Liquidation mode at Gamestop apparently. 75% off everything PS2 related. I don't have a PS2 but am super interested in picking up some old games, particularly JRPGS. Sadly it seems like the only Gamestop with PS2 stuff was in my old town, I had my sister go check it out and she found some okay stuff, like FFX and Disgaea. I had her pick me up Katamari Damacy and We <3 Katamari for 7 bucks total.

So I don't know, I'd suggest checking it out if you have one available to you. Stuff like Suikoden can fetch a pretty penny.

Yeah. Blockbuster had stuff of 80% right now. I picked up Anarchy Reigns for PS3 and DMC for 360 for nine bucks. I don't need or really want either but they were super cheap. They had XCOM for PS3 for six bucks and some baseball games but I didn't really need any of them.

oh! they also had Tom Clancy's Endwar, which is the voice command one. i wanted to pick that up too, but it didn't have the headset, and i can't justify going through the trouble of buying it separately when i don't know if i'll like it, and won't be able to return it

Pokemon X/Y and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for $30 each.

Great deal considering neither series' really ever see a price cut.

Tales of Xillia for $10 on PSN for Plus members.

There's some pretty good stuff there (probably picking up Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon for sure). Although I'm not upset, I'd prefer a physical copy of Xillia (which I got for $20).

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is pretty cool for one reason

https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly

Can you guess the reason?

$1 tier

ARMA II - http://store.steampo....com/app/33900/ - $12.99

Take on Helicopters - http://store.steampo....com/app/65730/ - $19.99

UFO: Afterlight - http://store.steampo...com/app/237950/ - $6.99

Alpha Prime - http://store.steampo...d.com/app/2590/ - $4.99

ARMA Gold Edition - http://store.steampo....com/app/65780/ - $9.99

ARMA Tactics - http://store.steampo...com/app/224860/ - $8.99

$6 tier

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission - http://store.steampo....com/app/65740/ - $32.99

ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead - http://store.steampo....com/app/33930/ - $19.99

ARMA II: DayZ Mod - http://store.steampo...com/app/224580/ - Free, but you need Arrowhead and ARMA II (which are in the bundle) to play

All in total, you get $63.94 worth of games in the 1$ tier, and $116.92 worth in the $6 tier. Plus, you get the free DayZ Mod, which while less impressive than the DayZ Standalone, is a suitable game on its own.

I purchased the $6 tier myself. It's one of the last purchases I can make for a while with my limited gaming budget, but I think it's well worth it.

I haven't tried my copy yet, but La-Mulana is 90% off right now, and it looks like a pretty good platformer.

Tales of Phantasia is free on iOS with optional IAP. Pretty good deal for a great game. Haven't tried this version but hopefully it's the same good old game it ever was.

This very much matters, but Kmart is a very good place to get video games I've seen.

They have some ridiculous clearance and most of the time they don't feel like making it down. Yesterday I was in my hometown and decided to check out the local Kmart, since it's kinda old and junky (the only one around me here is in the rich part). I found Spirit Tracks for 3.50 (goes on Amazon for more than full price new and can trade in for 10), multiple Skylanders for 6 (the original stater packs, still retail for full price on Amazon and the Wii one can be traded in for 30), Goldeneye for Wii for 5 (worth noting I bought this for a classic controller pro it comes with. Worth it for that alone.), and Tomb Raider HD Collection for 4.

There was other stuff but I didn't care much. It's very particular to which store you go to too. But worth a trip for the flip value you can get for some of that stuff. Kmart is a very odd place.

I don't go in KMart anymore. While they can have decent deals, the Gamestop is right next door to it basically, and I find better deals there.

Also, KMart's stock tends to be non-existent when I go in, whereas I can pretty much find any PS3 games I want in Gamestop.

All told though, I prefer Amazon, simply because it has everything, and I can get free shipping on most everything. The cost of gas (since Gamestop/Kmart are 10+ miles one way, and then another back) makes Amazon far more appealing.

Well you just have to look/be lucky. Kmart when you hit gold is a million times better than Gamestop (which is terrible) and Amazon (which can be terrible).

I suppose, but if you have that inherent luck you need to walk into KMart to find that one good deal, odds are your luck also holds out elsewhere.

I've yet to find one deal in KMart worth splurging on (to me it's almost as bad as Walmart), and I always seem to get amazing deals at Gamestop, which is funny, since I know it sucks for everyone else. But when I trade in old games, I tend to get more there than I can get anywhere else, and when I purchase games, I find that I somehow happened upon one of their specials without realizing it.

It's kind of funny how it works, since I totally don't plan it.

I never trade in games and GameStop never has really good deals unless it's preowned. You just need to look. Kmart is a surprisingly good place because of the lack of game sales it has, so if you're not picky you can find great stuff, like I mentioned. I doubt you'll ever be able to find anything at GameStop you can make a profit off of.

Although I'll be honest, I got a good deal at GameStop today. I got Etrain Odyssey IV for 18 bucks because I found it mislabeled as Theatrythym (which was ten bucks cheaper) and had a coupon.

But that was still preowned and a mistake and I had a coupon.

I bought EO 4 at GameStop, new, for about $20. Did the price go up?

Yeah, I went in to buy a used copy, which I saw listed on their site at around $18. But the clerk pointed out to me that brand new was just a couple of dollars more. So that's what I did.

That was um... Last august? I don't remember exactly.

Must have been some kind of sale. Atlus in particular has crazy sales sometimes at random (I think they're currently doing on on the eShop right now)

Because that's how much it is right now.

This is what I'm talking about.

I get lucky like VP did ALL the time in Gamestop.

I hate a lot of their practices, and dislike a lot of their employees, but there's no denying I tend to get great deals there.

I'm not denying that they have sales, they just usually don't ever have anything that's really spectacular when they do...that Amazon/Target/Best Buy just doesn't have. It's not really that great.

Kmart is the only place I've ever seen that just does whatever the fuck it wants and prices stuff up to 90% off worth way more than they're selling them for.
