I used to read the Yugioh manga in shonen jump...it wasn't actually all that bad.....how is yugi's grandpa freaky?

His expressions are creepy. He looks like a raving lunatic in some of the frames.

He was a different sort of creepy, though.

And he was kinda important. He did build the freakin' ship the show is named after after all.

Finished volume 26 of kenshin last night, and I noticed something in one of the other volumes. On page 54 of volume 19, there's a bomb with Luffy's pirate emblem on it. It made me laugh.

I just finished the last volume of Kenshin, and I bought and read Yu Yu Hakusho volume 10 today.

Since I had a Personal Shopping Day at Borders (everything 10% off) I also got the first few volumes of Hunter x Hunter, though unfortunately I found that it doesn't qualify for their buy 3 get 1 free summer deal.

And for the non-manga stuff I got on my PSD, I got the Prelude to Dune trilogy (House Atreides, House Harkonnen, and House Corrino), and I finally got my own copies of Ender's Shadow, Foundation, and Second Foundation. They didn't have Foundation and Empire, so it's on special order.

All that in about 4 days worth of my paycheck. :3

Oh, oh! I recently read Deadfall, by Sue Henry! It's my favorite book that she's written. :3: But they're all awesome.

Currently reading this series about wizards. On book two, called Deep Wizardry, by Diane Duane.

I read volume 5 last night, and I have volume 6 waiting to be read.

And when the guy at Borders saw that I was buying manga, he tried to sell me some wall scrolls. I didn't buy one then, but I might get the Samurai X scroll he showed me sometime.

I finished volume 7 of Hunter x Hunter during my vacation, and just bought volumes 8 and 9.

Also, I bought the wall scroll, but was convinced to return it since it doesn't "match the theme" of my room. Some day, when I have my own house, one room will be devoted to anime and manga stuff.

I forgot to bring Hunter x Hunter to work with me (to read during breaks) so I bought the September issue of Shounen Jump during a break. Then I noticed that it has 43-page sequel to Rurouni Kenshin. That's what I'm reading now, then I'll go back to Hunter.

Murder on the Iditarod Trail, which is the first book in Sue Henry's Jessie Arnold mysteries.

Awesome books. Go read them.
