"Ancient Demons Rise" by Polestar. With vocals, drums, keyboards, and guitars by the same dude.
(note: something with how it was uploaded to Youtube interferes with whether or not it plays properly. If you're having trouble, it works with IE)

"Rise, Rebel, Resist" by Otep. Easily one of my favorite songs, and still entirely relevant today.

I think this is a sign that I need to convince my girlfriend to see Beach House.
I've wanted to see them for a long time now, and there's a music festival coming up in two weeks with them playing...and a deal for half off tickets. We weren't planning on going until we saw that deal, but now we can reasonably afford a single day ticket each and go. However, we're torn between what day to go. The first day has the only two acts I want to see, Beach House and Okkervil River, but the second day has Dr. Dog and my girlfriend really wants to see them. But the rest of the day is full of things I've seen before...but I guess I wouldn't hate to see Modest Mouse again...but I'd so love to see Beach House.

I am so jealous that seeing Modest Mouse is a rather flippant affair for you. They never come to Europe. They were meant to come this summer, and I was ready to kill people for tickets, and then Modest Mouse just cancelled everything because that's how they do.
I have no idea what made me listen to Beach House again today. I haven't listened to them in years and years. I absolutely love that track though. I find a full album of them a bit much though.

This album's old news by now, but I'm in the mood for this kind of music.

by Mary Hopkins. If anyone ever figures out a pattern to my music library, please let me know."I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: Oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous. And God granted it." -Voltaire

I love that song. I remember being 4 and dancing around my living room to it, I think my mum must have had it on vinyl.
All I can think now is that an electroswing remix of it would be totally bitchin'.
