Oh, well the first episode is....uh...different. None of the other episodes are like that. The first episode is hilarious though, I <3 their special effects.
Yeah, it's odd at first but it gets better. I wish I hadn't watched them all, because now i've'nt anything to watch. T_T

Yeah, no body liked the long stretch of filler. The subbing group I get the show from almost quit providing it because they were getting tired of the filler. Then the new series kept getting delayed and whatnot (it was supposed to end about a year earlier than it finally did).
The first 100 episodes are based on the manga. Then there's a joke episode and a short filler arc that wasn't too bad. 107 (or so) up through 135 are from the manga again, and the rest was the awful filler. Unless you really want to see the whole thing, Arutha, I'd just skip up to 215 or so to get the build up for the new series. =p
