Also, I watched the first episode of Elfen Lied the other day because I saw an AMV that made it look good.... But HOLY SHIT. There was maybe five minutes in the whole episode that didn't have either nudity or gore. Or both.

Well I'm a really big anime fan, I go to cons and Cousplay.. My suggestion.... Never watch the English dubs of anything Funimation had there grubby little hand in.. Because, it will suck, we call this Bastardisation.

Let me see here, they destroyed Dragon Ball; (Z through GT... (GT was the worst)) Sailor moon, Black Cat, Detective Conan(aka the bastardized name Case Closed), Full metal panic and Alchemist, Fruits Basket, samurai seven, Shin-Chan(but that was the point, I love how funny they made it, Its like what adult swim did with sea lab and broadman... And gf just told me that they got Spirit Files, Slayers, and Amara-tenchi was there fault...
And the list is longer, I have no idea why they change the original point of shows so damned much... These are just ones I've seen, except samurai seven, witch my gf has seen.

My personal opinion.... And one that shared by most of the anime community... Funimation needs stopped.. They've destroyed to many classics,, I've seen the Japanese sub of every one of those I listed(Except Samurai seven, I've never even see that). none of them are as bad.. Dragon Ball is still corny "hey I fund a fish full of dollars!".

If you people have guessed by now I'm a huge nerd. lol

You are off topic DS.

Does anyone know the name of the anime in where this kind of evil plants takes over earth, the seeds of the plant gave powers and some sort of transformation abillity (red evil seeds, and the green good seeds)

Becouse I liked that too, but I was still young then so I cant remember the name.

Hey Eyre? Go watch Gurren Lagann. It's full of awesomeness and pure epic spirit, not from concentrate.

Really. In fact, don't even read up on it, because you'll most likely get episode 8 spoiled. Just trust me on this. Also episode 11 has the most satisfying comeback of a character's personality EVER.

Of course, if mecha stuff isn't your thing, go watch something at least better than Negima. Like Azumanga Daioh or FLCL. Or Fullmetal Alchemist.

It became apparent to me that a mere reporter in this city can never discover the truth. Furthermore, it's clear that the people themselves have no interest in learning the truth!

....But I want to know. I want to know what must be known!

The Sailor Moon Dub is so just sugar coated and omgcyoot that I can't stnad it. Among other things.
*makes note to remind himself by watching the episodes he has on tape*

I very much don't agree, I've seen the subs and dubs for Detective Conan, Fruits Basket, FMA. I hate the subs with a passion, and much more prefer the dubs. But at the same time I really don't care, but I really don't enjoy how people act like they're elite because they don't watch dubs and watch everything subbed. For me it's much more of whatever I see first though...but I saw all three of those shows in Japanese first, and they did not hold my attention at all.

Plus Detective Conan had to be renamed do to copyright problems with the name Detective Conan.

stop and think about what you are descussing...

a fav anime???

It's like judging your vaf song.

It's all a matter of the mood you are in, if you are aloe or not, aswell as how long since you watched it last.

I rather say we should descuss good anime series we've seen.

For instance, i like Hajome no Ippo and I would at many points say it's the best anime work so far becouse it pulls you in with it.
Asell i could say Mononoke Hime (Princess Momonoke) is the best becouse of the feeling it awakens.
Or Love hina becouse it's has souch a good balance between humor and romance.

I've been devoted to anime since I was 4, so thats 19 years, and I think I have seen around 200 series and 100 movies through these years.

I review anime and has done some work with releaseing fansubs for anime. and i would say that you can't make up anime or music in a list since it all varies from moment to moment.

I would like to nominate 5of the series that has touched me the most (these are the first to come into mind right now)

Hajime no Ippo
Love Hina
Ai Yori Aoshi
Full Metal Panic
Now and then, here and there

I'm currently watching Eurika seven and so far it has great potential tocome one of my more loved series.

i vote that instead of listing them with numbers, write a little about each serie or movie and explain why it has touched you, like i will do now

Hajime no Ippo:
A boxing anime with great spirit and even if you don't like sports like me you still put your fists up and move like your in the ring yourself when watching it, and it really gets you a will to get your ass to the gym and workout untill you fall into an exhausted pile.

Love Hina:
Well a serie that combines humor and comady in an almost perfect way, and to be honest there was a time I almost cried watching this serie.
A love story made by the same auther as A.I Love You and the later show "Mahou sensei Negima"

Ai Yori Aoshi:
Best romantic anime I've ever seen, very touching and it expresses feelings like a recorded livepeople show ever could, a definate serie to watch if you have some part of sentetivity in you.

Full Metal Panic:
one of the few action series I like and I think it's becouse the story if the serie is so good, it has a good line to follow, it mixes humor with love and adventure.

Now and Then, Here and There:
A serie not so known by most, but one of the best stories I've ever seen in a serie.
It's a military anime and it follows the live of kids forced to fight as soldiers.
