I just watched the e3 Bethesda Panel and it has everything I wanted and more, things i had no idea I wanted. Like what the hell. I don't think I can possibly be Hyped enough.

I really want to be excited. Hell, when the game comes out, I will probably get it and play lots of it. But the demo didn't show me anything that made me interested. Base building with a bit of tower defense...? I mean.... ok? The crafting is kinda cool, I think.
I think the feature I'm most interested in is the fact that the robot can call you by name, assuming you chose whatever these 1000 most popular names are. I may have to play a character named Dick. I wonder if other characters will call you by name, too. I think it would seem like a bit of a waste for it to be just the robot.

I'm more interested in seeing the social experiment you take part in inside the vault with the updated shooting making it not completely broken and wanting to see the story they've made for me. Everything else is just Gravy

So yeah, I read about this before I got a chance to watch the event and at first I felt the same way Tony does. Didn't care about crafting, didn't care about settlements, didn't care about Boston, but mildly excited about the game. But having actually watched it, oh man. Oooohhh maaaaan. I don't know if I could be more pumped than I am right now. I'm even considering getting the Pip-Boy edition.
Fallout Shelter does look like tons of fun. Wish it was available on Android or Windows, but I'm sure we'll get it eventually. But I only have five months left of my life...

So, no shock here, but I was never a huge fan of the Fallout series (thought 3 sucked, and that New Vegas, while more entertaining, lacked lasting appeal for me).
However, Fallout 4 seems to be the game that may change my mind.
I went in expecting pretty much nothing, and got enough out of it that I'm at least intrigued. Liked the base/settlement/etc building idea a LOT. There's a lot you can do with it, and you better believe most of my time will go into building an elaborate town with a wicked defense system.
It's also in a setting I really like (Boston), and having been there myself many times, I'm looking forward to seeing various landmarks in disrepair.
With one peek, Fallout 4 went from "Maybe when it's cheap" (I got 3 and NV for a combined 10 dollars a few years ago) to "OK, I kind of have to consider making room for it now".

Lot of fun, a lot of easter eggs.
But I can never bring myself to be a dick to npc's. I just can't do evil bastard runs.

I've been playing it a lot, and it's been fun.
I can't wait for mod support for the game to come to PS4.

You should have bought it for PC. The Mods are great--but then again, I understand you won't buy DLCs, so you're already missing a lot of really great content.

Is this because there are no dick options in this game? =3

Actually, because I have a job (getting paid 10 bucks an hour!) I have relented a bit on DLC. I've bought some, not for Fallout 4 (still finishing base game) but some.
My biggest fault with DLC is that it costs money, and I didn't really have money to spare. I still don't, but I can justify it more easily now, than I could before.

Oh, there are options, but most of 'em don't actually affect what happens. Certainly not like ME.

Samesies, but I definitely like paying for game I enjoy, and since I typically buy games on sale, DLCs are a good way for me to pay into a game, and still get something extra.

I don't know if [Sarcastic] really counts as being a dick... Which is fine by me, I usually play Neutral Good anyway.

I mean, this is true.
Now, I'm making money, so it's just easier to justify. I've bought into microtransactions for two games, spent money on season passes for others (like Disgaea 5 and soon, Fallout 4).
It definitely helps that the DLC available is stuff I want. In the past, very little DLC actually appealed to me. I don't care about horse armor, or a hastily made expansion. I just want a new character or two, a 3 hour side-quest of real value that is as fun as the real game, and stupid fun stuff (see Saints Row IV)
