On the plus side, this makes me more likely to try developing something with VX Ace in the future.

My brother, and a lot of my friends, don't have the patience to download the runtime packages and play an RPG from their computer.

Almost everyone I know has a smartphone. As such, it expands my potential audience, which is one of the reasons I'd yet to even bother making anything. (No one would play it if it was only available on PC, except for maybe 2 or 3 people on MP).

Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

You can always package the RTP with the game.

Doesn't change the fact that the core of my audience wouldn't want to play the game on PC.

You can always package the RTP with the game.

Wait, if you can do that then why doesn't anybody?

It's usually a large file, and a lot of people probably assume that anyone who downloads their game has already played RPG Maker games before and already has the RTP.

Also RTP isn't always needed. Pretty sure Pokemon Reborn doesn't need the RTP.

Hmm, at first glance this does sound tempting. however I will need to make some changes in many of my projects if I ever want to actuually publish them since most my projects use to many references that would be concidered safe,

My Zelda game for instance would never work on the market, I would be sued faster then the iPhone6 bends, and thats saying something.

Yeah man I feel you.

This is nice for those getting into game development and I hope it introduces some cool RPGs to the mobile market.

Well they run constant drives on discount, and I think there is the capability to convert (with some limitations) other thent hat ACE wasn't so different from XP.

Mostly just rearranged locations of things
