I feel like any topic titled anything vaguely political should be enough of a warning for people who don't like controversy though.
I mean, if someone has a different favorite food or favorite color than you, no big deal. But entire wars have been fought over nothing but politics. It should be a given that controversy's going to be involved in those.

Yes, but it's not just the controversy, it's just how all of those topics end up, and how it spreads to the rest of the forum like a plague of apathy.
If people didn't have to worry about how ridiculous those topics end up, they would be more inclined to actually post and people would actually put forth their opinions. But since those topics are so dominated just by a few people and all get to a point in where most everyone doesn't want to deal with them it's not actually benefiting the community of MP at all. It just goes against what I, and a lot of the others, want from this place, and the fact that it just spreads elsewhere just makes it worse.

It would be fine if the threads were all like that, but sometimes they have titles like "Miscellaneous Articles", or "History", that are ill-defined and don't quite warn passers-by of the pissing contest that lies within. It's easy to note the difference now that they're completely segregated from the good threads, though.I feel like any topic titled anything vaguely political should be enough of a warning for people who don't like controversy though.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

Again you show your shameful Pokemon ignorance. It was Squirtle who was the black one.

Except for whatever stopped you posting for like two years that one time.
Nobody remembers that. Nobody got my style when I first started posting here so I had to wait two years for the rest of the world to catch up.
