The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

And I don't know. It's not really that expensive. It's still a powerful tool that you could potentially make money off of (look at To The Moon).

Still yeah, it is a bit surprising that it's on steam. I guess all the weird licensing issues have been resolved?

It supports more chipsets, apparently. I think VX was incredibly limited in this regard, but I don't know for sure.
It has more database stuff.
It has a built in character generator and also has a built in caterpillar system, I think.
I think it supports 64 bit systems too.

$70 really isn't that much to pay for something like this, though. It may seem a lot because we're all used to just downloading this stuff, and full featured ROM hackers like LunarMagic and HyruleMagic that are free because they're illegal. It may not be "professional grade" software, but it is enthusiast grade, and come on, when you think about it, how many hobbies don't require a nearly $70, if not more, initial investment anyway?
By the by, does anyone know if you still need a copy of RPGmaker to play VXAce games?
I think this was my longest post on Monkeypro in like over a year. Considering I've only once opened any RPGmaker software that's pretty funny, huh?

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

Nope. You don't need a copy of any of the makers to play the games. Although if whoever developed the game used RTP and didn't include it you'd need that, although the RTPs are free./>By the by, does anyone know if you still need a copy of RPGmaker to play VXAce games?

What does RTP stand for? Ready-to-Play?/>Nope. You don't need a copy of any of the makers to play the games. Although if whoever developed the game used RTP and didn't include it you'd need that, although the RTPs are free.
There can be programming involved, but it isn't necessary. It's not easy though. Like any hobby, it requires a massive investment in time./>This is what you guys have been using all this time? I would have dived into this sooner had I known no programming was required.

There's a trial version.
Also, fun fact, there is a boxed version as well. Which I'd be far more interested in if I hadn't already bought it.
