Another Day on the McQuarrie

Unfiltered light was streaming through the windows of the Jupiter Orbital Station McQuarrie's large windows. The soft rabble of work being done could be heard all throughout the unfinished station. Lazlo walked along a corridor, smelling strongly of aloe and searching for Xteven. He wanted to show off some improvements to his Elwing's design, deadly improvements. After searching the tavern, and Nick's room, he decided Xteven must still be sleeping and busted through the wall near his door. "Xteven Xavier, I knew I'd find you slumming around here." But Xteven was nowhere to be seen. 'Where the butt is he..? Lazlo wondered to himself, when he heard a rattling on the roof. "What the...?" Lazlo turned his eyes to the ceiling above. "What the hell are you doing on the roof?!"
Xteven grunted, while rolling around on the roof, "I have this itch on my back I just can't reach."
Lazlo shook his head, "Why not get Nick to scratch it?"
Stopping immediatly, Xteven began sobbing, "She left me, Laz... She just got up and disappeared. Nobody's seen her on McQuarrie for weeks. You don't think she found another man, do you? One credit cards and no drinking problem?"
"Now don't be daft, there's no such thing." Lazlo jumped up to the roof, using his leet skills to defy gravity. That's right, the gravity was still working normally, these two guys were just super cool and didn't worry about it. "Besides I just remembered where she was."
"Really?!" Xteven asked, perking up.
Lazlo jumped down and said, "No, but come on I have something cool to show you, follow me!" He ran out of Xteven's room and bumped into Argus.
With a flat stare and a voice as hard as month old doughnuts, Argus Swiftman, the owner of McQuarrie, and the most desasterous thing to happen to the solar system since the Alien War of 2009, said, "You're not destroying more of my station, are you Lazlo Falconi?"
"Erm... Xteven did it." Lazlo didn't even think about the lie, it just came out, "He's up to his old tricks again. Hey, come with us to the hangar bay, I have something to show you."
Argus shrugged, he knew Xteven could repair the damage in less time than his own workers, so he didn't really care. "As much as I'd love to, I have some bad news."
Lazlo and Xteven groaned simultaneously. Xteven even yelled, "There was enough bad news yesterday! Don't you guys ever stop?"
"No we don't. Anyway, you two are needed in the Situation Room. Now." With that he ran off, which if he were writing this, he'd say it was much faster than anyone else could ever run because he was so giganticly tall, even though he wasn't really that fast because he's sort of out of shape and undead. But not the rotting kind of undead, just a vampire. Yeah that's so totally cool. Lazlo wished he had thought of that but he was sort of glad he didn't because that was so lame and played out. Especially in the future. Xteven was running too, but he found a hard time running with his itchy back.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

"Sit down, your gonna wanna eh?" Swift said to them like he owned the place. But sence he did they sat down in at the round table that swft was at the head of. "So you know we've had some tough times the past year and well Xteven I am glad that you have survived with a tale noone but you knows on more than one occasion, But you've probably noticed that Nick, Cortez, Nakori, Yami and Cj, And well, Just about everyone else who did anything on the ship execpt for the grunts and chefs and whatnot are gone eh. Sorry to Say Xteven But I have to tell you and Lazlo both eh?,"after that mouth full He seemed lost for words.
"well out with it man," Xteven said as he grew impatient.
"well, the thing is uh... Most of them were, Robots, That i Built, I gave Nick the order to dissassemble them eh, But when they caught sight of it they ripped her to shreds and turned there sights to me, I mean I took care of them no prooblem buut well she is gone, and so are they, I don't think I have it in me to build replacements. In fact I think It might be time to retire this old chrome dome."
"See Xteven," Lazlo said, "I told you there was a good reason nick wasn't around, and you thought she was cheating, silly Xteven"xteven They had a moment of clarity, that means he saw things clearly,
"Your Right, I over-reacted, I thought She was cheating but she's actually dead, you know what this means right?"there was an almost half smile on his face, "I'm free."
Lazlo laughed "Thats the Xteven I know and don't completely hate." Suddenly the three of them dissapeared and were standing in a circular room With a Large computer and a small robot with a flying saucer shaped head
"eye eye eye!!!" He said in a weird high pitched voice,"Zordon's been kidnapped I need you last three rangers to find him."
"alright," Xteven Said, "send us back to our ships, and give us one of his crystals so we know what to scan for and we'll have it done in no time flat."

The tiny robot teetered, "Aye aye aye..." and everyone laughed. Then Zordon zapped them back to McQuarrie.
But once there... All was not well. Alarms were sounding everywhere, and people ran screaming around the station. Minion ran to the recently teleported group, "Swift, bad news! The Station's falling into Jupiter! We forgot to fire the retros, we're gonna burn up!"
Argus looked out a nearby window and noticed the newly formed star was much larger than it should have been. "Not if I have anything to say aboot it, eh?"
He ran off to the hangar bay, Xteven and Lazlo directly behind him. The three of them jumped into their ships, Lazlo in the Elwing, and Xteven in the Eckswing, when Lazlo noticed Argus not going toward the Pyro-GX and yelled, "Swift, where are you going we need you in the Pyro!"
Argus shook his head and jumped into a ship that looked suspiciously like the Elwing and Eckswing. "I've been working on this for a while, and I like to call it the Ehwing! And it can help your mech transformation. Let's go!" With that, he blasted out of the hangar and pressed his transformation button. His ship became a mech, named the MEGAswiftman GunWing. Xteven and Lazlo did the same, and as before, Xteven and Lazlo's ships came together, but this time, Swift's joined it, forming the MegaSwiftman / Xteven-Lazlo Robot, or MEGAS XLR for short. But this joke was already used, like the Power Rangers one, so it wasn't funny.
In any case, the mech pushed up against the station, and began blasting at it's highest velocity. Unfortunately Argus had disassembled the whole fleet along with most of his people but not him because he DEFINITELY wasn't a robot. It wasn't enough, the station was still falling into the star and the one mech still left just didn't produce enough thrust. Pushing up against his throttle, Lazlo kept a worried eye on the Eckswalker. When he had made the designs for the Mega XLR he hadn't meant at this power, with the MEGAswiftman GunWing attached. It held up now only by running as he had not thought it could. Xteven had not wanted Argus in their number, would he try to sabotage this for him? Or would he try to send him into the sun?
If the GunWing fell apart, this would never succeed, whatever Xteven said. Into the star this would go. With all his heart and desperation he silently shouted at the MEGAS XLR to push like the wind, which didn't blow in space. He tried to will fire into the engines, will the star to push away. He wished the sun wasn't there. He felt something warm within him, a torrent of fire trying to sear his flesh away, icy cold freezing him to the bone. It was exhilerating. He hardly noticed the dimming light around him. Eventually the station was moving back, away from the location of Jupiter, and there was blackness.
When Lazlo awoke in the McQuarrie MedBay, he noticed he was in quarentine. Xteven stood beside him, with Minion behind him. The light in the MedBay was extremely bright, Xteven and Min were wearing sunglasses. He realized with horror that he held the power of the sun within his body, but not just that, he had the One Power, the ancient power of the Aes Sedai, so ancient it actually hasn't even been invented yet.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

"Good god Man!" He basicly yelled, " you should be in bed yourself, Thats the worst case of yellow-eyed fevor I have ever seen in my life." As lazlo was finishing his sentence Xteven shot his gaze to the floor and the joking about him stopped imediately. You see he didn't know what it was, He was fealing other peoples feelings, They were powerful feelings of hate. Hate against him and his comrads.
"It's nothing I'm sure,"Min said with a look that spelled doubt from d to t, "Yellow-eyed Fevor usually encompasses all of the white of the eyes, his is just his pupils."
"Wolfix and Star wolf are working together," Xteven said unsure whether or not to believe himself. Swift entered the room halfway in between the sentence but his super vampire ears heard the entire conversation.
"Are you sure about that WolfBrother," he said with a half smile, it was a knowing look. Xteven looked down yet again unsure of himself and Swiftman said,"Dont worry, I've done some research eh! I know what you and your little friend here are, and now I would truly like to bow to you as my greaters, But alas I cannot, I am a weakling vampire and as such I am not allowed to admit anything of that nature no matter how true it is. Eh...
Eh."
"You think we can be fooled by your fancy degrees?" Xteven growled looking angry, "If your so smart then what am I Dumbass."
"I already answered that, You are a wolf brother, something more ancient and less deadly that what your freind over there is, Isnt that right, Lazlo Sedai?" there was a knowing sneer in his voice. Lazlo was still stunned into silence not only that but he noticed as he was scratching Xtevens Back that each time his hand came dangerously close to cooking Xteven but Xtevens Instant healing powers cause from nanobots he 'accidentaly' injected himself with gave him the powers of wolverine.
"Yes, I beilieve I am an Aes Sedai, and it would only make sence that Xteven is a wolfbrother, and you, your gonna be the lamer who thinks he's as cool as us." Lazlo was already his former self again, on the outside at least.
"Their on there way now," Xteven growled and with that Swift said one final thing
"I got ou a present eh!" and at that moment he felt the presence of wolves on the mcquarrie, wolves who wanted to help their 'brother'.

Meanwhile, several days ago, on the outer edge of the solar system, an electrical storm was brewing near the Oort Cloud. The sort of storm that brewed from a massive matter-energy transportation device. This storm was caused by none other than the Beltino Orbital Gate in orbit around Corneria, fourth planet of the Lylat system. When the freak space storm disappeared, three ships, somewhat similar in design to the Elwing appeared. The fleet of ships had been in contact with this sector of space for quite a while, with a terrorist sect known only as the SeaWolves. The large SeaWolf SeaSpace Space Base was nearby, and lowered it's defenses for the ships to dock.
Inside, the ships landed, and the three pilots hopped out of their cockpits. Wolf O'Donnel, Leon Palwaski, and Panther of the Star Wolf team were investigating. They looked around and noticed that, despite the name, there were few wolves to be found. Wolf grabbed the nearest grunt and barked, "Take me to Wolfix! Now!" The kid passed out, and Wolf glared at the next closest, who jumped and ran down a hallway. The team followed.
It was a long walk through many twisting corridors, with notched hiding spots in the walls. Wolf noted the decor as being slightly worn and mismatched. The main colors seemed to be red and gray, with black trim and hints of orange. Despite the group's reputation as a terrorist sect, there were actually many families on the base. Wolf wondered if they were raising their kids with their beliefs. A useless thought, but then what could be expected of terrorists? Wolf didn't care, he was a mercenary on a mission, he just needed to find his man.
At the end of the maze, Wolf and his party came to a large door labeled "Command". The man who had led them there asked them to wait, and walked through the door, closing it before Wolf had a chance to see inside. As with the rest of the base, the door was in very poor condition, probably pillaged from some other base years ago. He heard men yelling on the other side of the door, then a loud thud, and all was quiet for a while. The door opened to complete blackness, and Wolf heard a man with a rough voice ask, no, command, him to enter. He complied, and his wolf eyes quickly adjusted.
Inside was one hulking figure, on a large chair, large enough to be a throne, in the center of the circular room. There were other chairs at computers along the walls, but they were empty, with the screens turned off. Wolf motioned for his comrades to stay outside. Once in, the door closed, plunging the room into complete darkness. Wolf's eyes strained to see anything, and he kept his ears alert for any sound of movement. That rough voice again, "Wolf O'Donnel, I take it?"
Nodding, Wolf confirmed.
"Excellent, I've been waiting for you. You're looking for Lazlo Falconi, a strange man. Nobody seems to know where he came from. He's made quite a name for himself here. Sacking up with those McQuarrie scoundrels. As you know, you want him hostage, and I want his friends dead. You finally came, so I suppose you agreed on our terms?" Wolf remained silent, "Good. But I need some assurance, what makes you think you can take on these pilots?"
Wolf did not like this man's doubt, "I've fought Lazlo hundreds of times in simulations, we went through our military training together. He's a good pilot, but I can beat him. I've seen your video files of his other friends. They're no match for me. How do I know you'll have my payment ready?"
The man grunted, "It's worthless to me, why would I withold it?" In truth it was. The small amount of syrum he had had produced no cure for his condition. He had know idea what Wolf would want with it, that Wolf was to use it to infect all humans in the galaxy with the same disease. But that was Wolfix' problem. He only wanted revenge against Argus Swift, the man who had wronged him so many years ago, it consumed him. Wolf almost felt pity, he had gone through the same, but killing Beltino Toad, the originator of the animal injection, had only left him with an empty feeling, and it hadn't cured him. Wolf's plan was much grander. There would once again be equality between all. No longer would he be an outcast, the sole wolf in a crowd of humans. All would be the same.
"Just make sure it gets to me. I'll have Argus here bound within a week." Wolf began walking to the door, "Oh, and stop hiding yourself. It's embarrassing." With that, he was gone.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

He felt it in his Bones he needed to update the AI in the programming for the fight simulation on his ship. You see he was actually a very below average Fighter pilot but was very intelligent he had programmed tons of fighter simulations into his Eckswing with a state of the art AI system and it did the flying for him but he needed to be in the ship for it to work because he built it to function only with his biometrics. He tore off the panel in his ship and quickly began to rewire it. he knew there wasn't much time with this feeling of dread approaching ever faster so he was working mostly off of instinct and with the research he's been doing for the last few years he felt as if he could make it better than he had ever dreamed it could be.
Shortly after completing the new wiring job he jumped out of his ship to greet Lazlo who was just running into the Hangar. "Lazlo," he yelled as he motioned him to come towards him at the same time as running towards Laz. "I need you to Stay in the McQuarrie, where it's safe. This one I can feel him, He's out for your blood man. He want's to kill you. I just upgraded my ship and I think I might be able to take him but I need you to stay here, because if I fail then I cannot allow you to Die with me. I can feel the dread in my bones this one is unlike anything we have ever faced before, Far more ruthless, far more bloodthirsty. Just feeling the trace of him in my head is making me want to scream in pain. Let me and the Eckswing handle this one." He said with true concern on the surface of his face.
"Your taking this far too serious man," Lazlo said with a smirk, "remember all the times we've defeated all the countless enemies? We have been up against insurmountable odds before." And he attempted to head to his ship to get in as if there were no argument to be had. Xteven stuck his arm out as if to bar him from the way with a pleading look in his eyes. "Don't worry Xteven, I'll be fine," Lazlo said trying to look confidant even though now he was truly beginning to worry. after all what could possibly make his friend who never seemed to be afraid of anything who literally jumped into fights against people on paper he had no chance of beating, but always came out on top anyways. The most courageous person he knew except for maybe himself.
"Your right, you will be," Xteven said as he let his arm down and let Lazlo begin his walk on to his ship. He then pulled out his Phaser pistol and set it to an 8 hour stun. Pointed it right at Lazlo and fired. He then walked up to gabbed a char and brought it over to the area where Lazlo Lay Conscious but unable to move. "I'm sorry friend, but I can't allow you to be a part of this fight." then proceeded to set Lazlo up in the chair and move him towards the computers that would monitor the battle. "Let me know how I did when I come back my friend," Xteven said while choking back his sobs, tears in his eyes. And then proceeded to head back to the Eckswing. He Climbed back in and knew this was most likely going to be his final Journey, his last hurrah, this was his Alamo. He closed the hatch and said as confidently as possible, " Computer Execute Protocol B-52." A glass full of Hyper Vodka with rock salt then rose from the Dash and Xteven took one final drink Building for the courage for what he knew it might come down to.
He flew his plane out of the Hangar for he knew that the enemy this "Wolf" would be arriving at this very moment. He glanced down and saw there was an incoming transmission which he accepted without question. "Hello there Xteven," the voice said, "you know, your the only one in this base that there isn't a specific bounty for, I could let you go if you let down the force field to that infernal space station that has been giving the galaxy so much trouble. Then I'll just end it all and that will be that. So let down that little force field and let the big bad wolf inside to deal with the Vampire and that Blasted Falconi. I'll make it quick I promise." he said and began Laughing maniacally.
"You know that's not gonna happen," Xteven said his nerve now steeled, " Let's just get on with this." the voice began Laughing even harder and said, "So be it. I'll break through the force field shortly after dealing with you anyways." and missiles fired off from his ship. Xteven then started hitting the keystrokes to perform evasive maneuvers and realized that the missiles were locked on already, which just confirmed his suspicions that even had he sold out his friends and let down the force field he would have been attacked. the ship then was acting mostly on it's own but this time Xteven was updating the programming as the battle went on. he realized that the missiles were locked o\n tight so he proceeded to barrel roll actually causing the 2 of them to spin around and collide into each other and explode which left just one. 'Damn' he thought I was hoping that would take out all three. He knew the last one would be near impossible to shake so he would have to do the battle with the thing chasing close behind. he updated the programming to contain this information and began opening fire at Wolf's ship. he knew he wouldn't be able to stay still long enough to get any missiles of his own locked onto the enemy ship so he knew he's have to win with just his lasers. 'The parameters of winning this fight are becoming less and less likely' he thought to himself. With the missile following closely behind and the enemy ship moving so swiftly that is was evading every shot Xteven was thinking more and more bleakly. He now knew for sure this pilot was better than He, Lazlo, or Swiftman could ever dream of being. He knew what he had to do to save them from the same fate he was sealing himself to. He then took his plane off of the programming that he was so familiar with and started piloting manually. He knew he only had to get within 10 meters of the ship and then he could do it. He began leading Wolf as Far from the McQuarrie as possible.
The Missile hot on his trail, His Lack of experience being a Pilot was showing and the missile was gaining. To wolf it looked like Xteven was just getting sloppy out of fear. because you can't tell from video that the ship is run on AI. so Xteven knew this would draw Wolf in for the death shot. And he was right, Wolf then Swooped right in behind him and locked on with another missile and as he was getting ready to fire Xteven Said over the intercom, "Checkmate." He then reached under his seat and pulled the device he thought he'd never have to use and his ship exploded with the power of a nuclear warhead in an explosion that lit up space for miles and completely destroyed everything in the 50 mile radius and began actually had it's own gravitational pull. Creating another sun right there with Xteven and Wolf right in the center of it. Forever ending the threat that Wolf posed to the McQuarrie.
*Back in the McQuarrie*
Lazlo Watched the battle and saw his friend being more desperate and desperate with nothing to do he knew his friend was a goner. then there was the explosion it ripped apart all of the space cameras in the general vicinity so Lazlo had to go back a few miles to find one still working and he saw the explosion which immediately brought tears to his eyes. 'The crazy bastard exploded his core mid flight', Lazlo thought as tears ran down his face even though he was unable to move he fell to the ground and wept.
