Someone told me that the translation to one of the lyrics off the new album is "Hell yes!"

Sigur Ros is so cool.

And I like how their debut English song might as well be in Hopelandic cause you can hardly understand the guy. Jonsi, yer so cute.

I liked it. It's a little more in line with their older stuff. Less poppy and more ambient and atmospheric. I haven't listened to it since they streamed it for free, but I think it's just lacking a track that completely blows my mind, which I think each Sigur Ros album has had at least one of until this one.

I, for the most part, enjoyed it. Though the first album I ever listened to of theirs was Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust. It was very upbeat and bright. This latest kinda put me off. I guess I haven't dabbled in them enough to get a good feel for it yet.

I like it a lot. But that may have to do with the fact that lately all I really listen to is ambient music. Admittedly I don't think they're trying anything new artistically, so it certainly "sounds like Sigur Ros." But I still enjoy it.

So apparently the pianist has left the band making them now a three-piece.

Sounds interesting. I feel it's probably the right decision to continue evolving their sound.
