I bought a lovely bunch of fireworks right before work, then went out to the park by my house to shoot some off after work. Then it started raining. Hopefully I can do more tonight than I managed last night...

I found out that my dog has no problem with fireworks, when some were going off by my sister's house. My sister's dog, however? She got scared and we had thought her shock collar had battery power still (my sister has one of those invisible fence things), so we didn't really expect it when she took off running down the street to get away from the fireworks...
But yeah, ended up having a small barbecue at my sister's house with my family. It actually didn't go as bad as I expected it to.

Father-in-law bought over $400 in fireworks (Over $500 with what he got for free) and we had a barbecue, went shooting, then light fireworks. It was pretty nice except for the mosquitos.

We managed a fair amount of fireworks last night. Nowhere near $500-worth, but it was still a blast (pun intended?). Maybe half that much between my neighbor and myself.

Don't worry guys, my awesome husband and family members blew off all the ones I picked out while I was inside the house having a mock baby shower. Sweet.

This is not the greatest signature in the world. No, this is just a tribute...

Couldn't remember the greatest signature in the world. Yeeaaah, NO! This is a tribuuute! Ohhhhh. To the greatest signature in the world! All right! It was the greatest signature in the world all right.

And the peculiar thing is this, my friends. The signature I made on that fateful night didn't actually look anything like this signature! This is just a tribute. You've gotta believe me, and I wish you were there. Just a matter of opinion. Ah, fuck! Good God, God lovin'. So surprised to find you can't stop it. All right! All right.

No plans for fireworks this year. I'm going out to dinner with the parents later tonight. Tomorrow is a family reunion. I have to make pies. We'll see if I can remember how to roll a crust. If I have enough patience to get creative, I'll make a lattice top. Yay apple filling!

We got to join a parade this morning. I was near the front pushing my niece and nephew in a tricked out wheelbarrow while my other nephew rode alongside us in a Strider bike. Then we got frozen custard sandwich cookies at the end.

Last night & tonight sounds like a world war. We live next to 2 schools, thus large parking lots/ fields so... yeah.. Neat thing is we can pretty much look out the window and see all the fireworks without driving anywhere. Bad news is it scares Rose. Although this year she actually got into the fireworks we lit off!! We were super excited about it!

I saw a lot of fireworks last night driving in Orange County (from Knotts and Disneyland I think).

Too exhausted to do anything anyways.

As I left work I saw a lot of people hanging around waiting for the fireworks they'd be shooting off in the parking lot, but that was ages away and I wasn't about to sit around by myself and wait. So I got to listen to fireworks in the distance from the apartment because you couldn't actually see any from my area, and by the time I'd driven somewhere they probably would have been over.

I played board games with friends for nearly 10 hours and ate much meat. It started raining as soon as the sun started setting and kept going well into the night. Made me glad I didn't care about watching the fireworks, which apparently they set off despite the downpour.
