I bought a ticket for Arcade Fire. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, but hopefully worth it.

Next month is going to be crazy.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco on the first three days of the month. Conor Oberst, Jenny Lewis, Joan Baez, Gillian Welch, Bonnie Prince Billy, Sharon Jones, The Avett Brothers, others...all for free.
Then October 3rd, Arcade Fire.
October 23rd, Sufjan Stevens.
And October 30th, of Montreal and Janelle Monae.

Maaaaaaaybe going to go see Belle and Sebastian, The National, Broken Social Scene, She and Him, and LCD Soundsystem at Treasure Island too. MAYBE.

Haven't even listened to Muse in forever, but still, they're really good live.

I went to Hardly Strictly and saw Hot Tuna Electric, Jenny and Johnny, The Felice Brothers, Martin Sexton, and Conor Oberst. The place was really crowded, and I've been sick, so I didn't have much energy to see later acts. Conor was sooooo good. Much better than when I saw him with the Mystic Valley Band. Plus, I got to hear Poison Oak and Four Winds. <3
Jenny and Johnny were great too! Elvis Costello came on stage at one point, it was exciting. Martin Sexton was also a highlight; the man can fucking do music.

BUUUUT. Oh my god. Arcade Fire with Calexico. It could very well be the best concert I've ever been too. So good.

No, I really wanted to, but I was sick and the crowd was just a massive cluster cuss I didn't want to navigate through.

I'm really disappointed since she and Conor played Lua too.

I am so very butthurt because on the 19th (Okay it's 2011, but there's no thread for that yet) Reel Big Fish and the Aquabats are going head to head in a show titled "Reel Big Fish V. The Aquabats" and I know that (if you can stand that sort of thing) it's going to be epic. And I'm gonna be in bumfrik Georgia...

Love is over.
