Good thing I never bothered with Hulu to begin with. I was ahead of the trend!

I rarely used Hulu.

Just occasionally to watch SNL and use for clips and things...and of course, to watch Dr. Horrible when it first came out.

Regardless of if I used it or not, this is completely stupid of them to do, and a step back for television shows and the internet.

I think Youtube is making it so only the professional stuff costs money.

Well yeah. This affects Hulu much more, since it's only "professional" stuff.

Seems to me like it might not be as bad as everyone thinks.

For instance: Currently, you can only see the past five (or so) episodes of new series. This might just mean that only older episodes cost anything, but it might mean that those older episodes are available. Would I pay? No. But that doesn't seem to effect my ability to watch anything as it stands.

And the article doesn't say about older episodes and movies. I'm sure there will be a new push to Hulu Plus content, but I'm also sure there will still be plenty of free stuff available. It's not like Hulu's the first site to work on such a principle.
