The new Cloud OS they're working on sounds rather similar in concept to Chrome OS, except you're not forced to use Chrome. =p

And despite its existence, I'm still more excited about Chrome OS then ever using gOS.

Good OS has been usable for years, it's on 3.1!
Chrome OS has also been available for a while, kinda:

Is Chromium actually usable (for non-coders like myself)? I haven't really looked into it. I just know they're saying that Chrome will only work on hardware that it's specifically designed for.
EDIT: Now that I look it up again, it seems that Chrome OS is supposed to be coming out later this year.
EDIT 2: I find it quite strange that even though Cloud claims to be based on a modified version of Firefox, it looks almost exactly like Chrome. <_<

The only problem with that is games... Maybe I'll think of switching again when Wine can properly handle Steam, or else if Steam gets an official release.

I thought of that, but it would just result in me still using Windows all the time. The whole point of switching would be for me not to need Windows at all anymore.Or just dual-boot :P

But usually, you probably will want a Windows partition around, especially if you're one to play games. But I don't see why that would mean you using Windows all the time.

Anyway, I don't know about this whole cloud computing idea... I like to keep a lot of stuff in the cloud, sure, but it just seems like a bad idea to completely rely on internet service to be able to use your computer. But maybe that's just because I'm poor.
Or just dual-boot :P also Chromifox is awesome.
I'll never understand why firefox users love their browser so much, yet go through painstaking efforts to make it look like other browsers.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."
