Sometimes when I'm playing the games I come across Pokemon that I forget even exist. They are so seldom used by anyone in the games, or they're extremely rare or hard to find, or they just suck so much you have never bothered looking at them. Now there is a difference between a Pokemon that sucks and one that is "Forgotten" as many people seldom use say Rattata, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten it.

So what Pokemon do you forget exist?

Qwilfish - It's a tiny little fish that has no evolutions and nothing special about it. Never stuck in my mind.

Corsola - I guess the same as before, except I think it's probably a stronger Pokemon. Just never saw it much in the games and didn't have enough contact for it to stick in my mind.

Masquerain - Oddly I always remember it's pre-evolution, Surskit, but just not it. Don't know what makes it so unmemorable.

Volbeat / Illumise - I used to think that one evolved into the other, but nope, they are both just chubby little bugs. Are they supposed to be like Plusle and Minum? Because even though I think those two are stupid, at least they had a double battle gimmick.

Shuppet / Banette - These two ghosts honestly don't seemed to be used much. In RSE, I think only one of the Elite Four used it, and in DPPt I don't remember seeing them. They're the ghosts I always forget.

Skarmory - Now I DO remember these Pokemon and it's one I like, but what I forget is when it is from. I always forget that its from Generation II. I rarely ever saw it in the GSC games for some reason, even in the wild, and it wasn't until RSE that I started to see it and have it stick with me. For the longest time I thought it was a Gen. III Pokemon

Thought there were more forgotten Pokemon, but now that I've been looking through all of them I can't remember which ones I forgot >_< I've remembered them for now, but soon there will be more that I forget.

dunsparce. I actually ran into one and caught one really early in ss.

shiftry/nuzleaf- the ugly oak pokemon... I dunno. I just never see it anywhere anymore since rse

sableye- I'd forgotten about the original spiritomb until my friend reminded me that the thing looked like Stitch, which i pointed out is probably why he likes 'em. Just some forgotten pokemon in the back of that cave you meet Steven in.

Parasect- you always see paras, but rarely ever paras. you don't even think of it when you're finding their mushrooms all around in random places. lil buggers

Pineco- i headbutted a tree and it popped out, and it literally startled me. I absolutely forgot they existed. then i remembered foretress came from it. 0.o

Mothim- male burmy have an evolution?!? why would anyone want to raise any burmy?

vibrava- between trapinch and the famous flygon... i'd forgotten it existed for sure.

hitmontop and tyrogue

sentret furret- hell, a sentret didn't pop up at all until like my 6th visit back to that starting town.

Teddiursa and Ursaring - I have their Pokemon cards (omg kawaii) but like, I've never heard of and seen them in anything. Sure I haven't played any Pokemon games besides Red, Blue, Yellow, and Diamond - but c'mon. Does anyone even like these guys?

Also, Happiny and Lopunny, or whatever. Lopunny, seriously, RABBIT TITS? Get the fuck out. These guys are totally under the radar for me, until I see Lopunny and remember why I hate them both all over again. Also Happiny is like the only card you will ever get in some booster backs, much to my disgust.

This is not the greatest signature in the world. No, this is just a tribute...

Couldn't remember the greatest signature in the world. Yeeaaah, NO! This is a tribuuute! Ohhhhh. To the greatest signature in the world! All right! It was the greatest signature in the world all right.

And the peculiar thing is this, my friends. The signature I made on that fateful night didn't actually look anything like this signature! This is just a tribute. You've gotta believe me, and I wish you were there. Just a matter of opinion. Farfetch'd, just because I don't think I've ever seen a trainer seriously use one before.

Omanyte/Omastar and Kabuto/Kabutops have always seemed pretty forgettable as well.

Girafarig, Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Huntail & Gorebyss, and the majority of the pokemon that are not evolutions of older gens introduced in D/P/Pt.

You guys lose so much respect. Farfetch'd is badass. He marches around holding a leek, which the Pokedex says Farfetch'd tastes good cooked with. That's just awesome. He's like, "Try it, bitches. You want to eat me with some leek, but instead I shall smote you with it." And he parades it around like a baton. Farfetch'd is the best ever.

Also Koffing is EXCELLENT. He just always looks so frickin' pleased. He can make Robbie happy like no other (except Ekans). Seriously, watch Indigo League. Bask in the glory of their faces/facial expressions. They are the funniest.

Not so much on its own, but a Poison type with Levitate and crazy high defense is very handy as a wall. It's only weak to special Psychic attacks, which are much less common than in RBY now that Dark is in the neighborhood.

That aside, I think Qwilfish is the only one I've ever forgotten. I can usually recognize most of them after I've seen them once, but Qwilfish is just so...meh.

If only GameFreak had realized that Pokemon would become a huge, long lasting franchise then maybe it could have been given awesome stats to match its awesomeness. But no, instead they made it a cheap gimmick that didn't hold up after the first games. This badass bird became lost among all the other non-evolving Pokemon. Hold your head high, Farfetch'd, someday you will be vindicated. Until then, just keep raping people with your leek.

is poison good for anything? koga was all like "you'll feel the terror of being poisoned! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!" and then i was all like "earthquake you're dead"

That's....pretty much true for every gym. Just find the type weakness and exploit it, not unique to Poison. Though I find it funny that you're saying that Koffing sucks and Earthquake mops up Poison types, when Koffing is immune to Earthquake and all Ground attacks. Ironic really. I do agree that Poison as an attacking move doesn't cover much. It's resisted by three types, Steel is immune to it, and the only thing it is effective against is Grass and half of those are part Poison anyway. Poison stands out for Defense and ability to poison things. Yay poison effect!

Lol. Just teach Toxic to any random pokemon and it's already got the best poison has to offer.

And yeah, I used to use a farfetch'd. Specially false swipe when I'm trying to catch something...

Farfetch'd will always have a place in my heart. It looks cool, and it's brandishing an onion. What more could you want?

Also...yeah, Qwilfish, forget it existed untill I ran into a trainer with one. I also have a bad habbit of forgetting about Golem, I know I see trainers with it from time to time, I just never seem to remember that its a thing.

That's what I do with my Scyther! =D

I love Farfetch'd. He's one of my favorite Pokemon - I even used him on my team for the Shoddy battles!

I always forget that Spoink and Snorunt exist, frankly. And the baby version of Manaphy. And the evolved form of Gulpin. And, uh, apparently Burmy evolves. -looks up what the name of the evolution is, having never seen it before- "Wormadam". Okay, definitely never seen that before. I had no idea it depended on its gender!

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.
