i'm doing this just so i can show myself that i can actually finish something. it's a very cut and paste rpg, and will use very few original resources. the only original thing i'm going to put in it is the music.

The name "The Lance Of Lament" comes from Kenta's lance, which is cursed or something....im not really sure yet, but it felt right, and will def. go into a sequel. so far, the plan is for this game to be a prequel to my other game called "Arbor's Eve" which continues the seed plotline.

Characters-

Daz: Moved to Boromir to enlist as a knight in the servituded of King Iorbus Yeeblesteen. He is doing this because he has seven children, and alimony doesn't come cheap.
Lucy/Alistair: Both knights previously confirmed in the king's service. Sister and Brother.
Sirus: A mage brought into the service of the king for magical purposes.
Blasko: A hunter from the forested town of Threed. Looking for his brother who went missing in the deep woods.
Riggs: Leader of a group of thieves in Tamriel, every night he sends his loyal followers into the city to search for a mysterious key.
Lobuz: A young woman who uses her magical powers to protect the city of Flemeth from a nearby volcano.
Kenta: A mysterious man who wields a strange lance. Compelled by a talking dog, and a god called the maker, his motivations are as mysterious as his page is blank in my notebook.

spoiler packed plot like it matters. who's gonna play this anyway?

Open on the western side of the town of Boromir. A forested town nestled beneath the palace of King Iorbus Yeeblesteen. Our story begins in the house of Daz, a recently enlisted lancer, who has just completed his training. he writes in his journal about how he has doubts in the king's mental stability, as he is being sent on a mission to collect a seed from a ship that just sailed in from the mainland. After he finishes his thoughts, he heads up to the castle to meet the other members of the party accompanying him.; Lucy, Alistair, and Sirus. They, like him, have also gone through king Yeeblesteen's knight training, and are fully employed to do his bidding. The four venture out towards the southern docks, and find the ship calmly moored to the boardwalk. they board, and in the cargo hold, find a water spirit in a cage. they let it out, not knowing what it is, and continue to search the hold for the seed. Deciding it's all for naught, they leave, and are arrested by a detatchment of the king's guard outside the ship for letting the dangerous water spirit out.

In the dungeons of castle yeeblesteen, they are tried without testifying, and are sentenced to death by hurling. The next day they are taken to the rim of a volcano outside the small town of Flemeth, and hurled into the lava.

the next morning, they awaken to find that they were protected from the lava by the fire spirit. They awaken in Flemeth, in the home of a young witch by the name of Lobuz, who explains that they must kill the spirit in order to obtain its physical essence, which must be the "seeds" they were looking for. Lobuz references an old book, and explains that the spirits visit the planet in times of dire need, but doesn't understand what is happening in order for them to manifest themselves.

Lobuz sends the four to the fire cave, and they kill the fire spirit to take its essence. this causes an eruption, which they narrowly escape with help from Lobuz holding the lava back. They run through a tunnel, which opens up into a verdant forest on the other side of the volcano, and through the trees see the town of Threed. The party walks into a restaurant to get food, and overhear a hunter, Blasko, asking his sister to go with him after their brother. She storms out, and Daz talks to him and agrees to help. They go into the woods and find his belongings near a cave. They enter, and Lucy is killed. Blasko joins the party here. They venture deep into the bottom of the cave to cast his brother's corpse into the bottomless pit. There, they find the Earth spirit, who gives its essence to Daz. They exit the cave, and out of the woods they find the more civilized town of Tamriel.

Tamriel has a problem-thieves. Every night, a section of Tamriel is burglarized. The party is immedietely arrested because theyre suspicious. theyre brought before the mayor of Tamriel, and explain their situation. He tells the, that he's up for re-election, and has to appear tough on crime. Unless they want to be hung in the town square as an example, they need to spend the night in a house there in order to trap the real bandits. Their house is burglarized, and they attack them, finding a note on one of the corpses. it tells them where to contact the leader in case they find the key they were sent to find. Daz goes to meet the leader in a warehouse. There, they are taken hostage, and the leader of the bandits-Riggs- kills Alistair in the process of being captured himself. The mage steps up and lies about being a great and terrible wizard from the moon who will kill all of them unless the leader joins them in bondage. He does, and turns the guild over to Daz. One of the bandits speaks up, saying he found the key to the hilltop hut where the winds of the world originate.

They go to the hut, and regretfully kill a meek wind spirit and try to claim its essence, but Kenta intervenes to take it for himself. Daz kills Kenta in battle, which frees the spirit of an elder god called Stigma. They kill Stigma with the help of the essence of the wind spirit. Riggs is killed by Stigma however, who then dies on the floor of the hut, and dissapears. Outside, they decide that they need to return to Boromir, and free the water spirit from castle Yeeblesteen.

Daz and the party assume the identity of three guards to enter the dungeon, and find the water spirit still in a cell. They free it, and it attacks them. They take its essence by killing it, and flee from the newly dispatched elite knights. Just north of castle Yeeblesteen, they meet Lobuz, who tells them that they need to put the seeds in the ground, from which will sprout all the evil from the entire planet, and that they must kill it while it is still weak in its new physical form. Daz quickly plants the seeds, and a massive earthquake rips the island in twain. On the spot where they planted the seeds, a tower now stands. they enter.

Daz, Blasko, Sirus, and Lobuz enter the tower. Lobuz leads them to the top of the tower, and explains that the concentrated evil is forming at the top of the tower. There, they find an empty room with a door, and head inside it, only to find themselves in an identical room. Lobuz has no idea what to do, so they climb back down. At the bottom floor, they go outside, and find themselves in a strange world. There, they are attacked by a great demon, and when the battle becomes a losing one, they flee back into the tower. They make it back to the top of the tower, and go back through the door. The demon appears behind them, and they kill it. The tower starts to shake, and they run out. Outside, the tower collapses, and they see a crumbled castle yeeblesteen in the distance. having approached the island while they were exploring the tower, the thieves guild salutes their leader, and helps him board a ship back towards Boromir where they decide they have to help rebuild.

if i can find any fun scripts, ill throw those in. the plan so far has been to use as little else besides the rtp as i can.
