Pleasantly surprised by Index and Index II. Railgun kinda sucked though in comparison.

I had forgotten about this topic, but I found a bunch of picks from Railgun by accident while looking up stuff about kuroko "stage ninjas." =p

Yeah, Index and Index II were also good. I can't pinpoint what I like about the series, but it has a certain something. It's like a perfect mix of Shounen and Slice-of-Life, I think. I don't really watch Shounen, and this is probably one of the most action-ey anime I've watched, lol. Also, I loved the story in Railgun, actually. Pretty interesting stuff.

Well, it's not that I didn't enjoy Railgun, because I did, but I just felt that it had some problems with lack of focus and character development within the context of the plot. Its problems were a little bit more glaring than Index's problems. Yeah, I'm not too much for action series either but this franchise really hit the sweet spot.

Speaking of characters, Biribiri and Index (the chara) both did well in the Saimoe (Top 16, I think).
