So I got to thinking today, I kinda of want to screw around with RPG Maker 2003 again...but I don't see me doing much with it. So I decided this could be a neat way to mess with it.

The idea behind this topic is I'll ask for the next part of the game. You all post ideas for what I should do. The most popular idea or the idea I deem best will be put in the game. If the idea is just impossible for me to do, or just stupid, I won't pick it no matter how popular it is. And if no plausible ideas come around I'll just make something up. This game really isn't supposed to be complex or great, so don't try and make it complex because I won't put it in. It's supposed to just be fun.

So the first things I need:
Premise: (just a basic outline of a story, like hero saves princess then princess is in another castle)
Playable Characters: (Name, age, gender, human/animal/whatever, weapon, class, who you start with, and specifically who the main character is)
Starting Location/Event: (Like, in a town fighting ninjas)

You can do all of these, or just one or two of them. I may mix and match based on whatever.

Go!

Stereotypical hero-game:

Premise: Evil king burned down your village. You want revenge.
Character: Guy with no swordsmanship upbringing.
Starting Event: Recollection of the king burning down the town.

Premise: Evil ninjas (optionally evil monkey ninjas) have kidnapped the hero's girlfriend, and he wants to save her.
Characters: Main character is a civillian who lives in a port town, and he eventually gets help from a pirate captain and his crew.
Starting Event: Hero goes to his girlfriend's house just in time to see her get ninja'd away.

EDIT: Dunno if this is farther along than you're asking for right now, but I had an idea for how the main dude meets the pirates.
After doing something in the town (however long the first part ends up being), main dude gets a small ship so that he can chase after the ninjas (since they left in a ship as well). He winds up sailing into a storm that throws him overboard, and the pirates find him floating in the sea and decide to pick him up. We can get creative later for why they decide to help him. =p

Yeah, that's too far. Considering you never know if the game will even go in a direction where that will be possible...or if your idea will be even chosen. :P

And you guys are sucking with Characters.

I gave you pirates. What more information do you need other than the fact that they're pirates?

EDIT: And until someone posts a third idea, my ninja monkeys have a 50/50 chance. =p

....Sigh.

Fine, I'll throw a character out there-

Soro-
22
Male
Human
Throwing weapons- Kunai, Stars, Punching daggers; a variety
Somewhere in between Rogue and Warrior, in terms of speed and strength. Whatever class that would be.

Brown hair with a few bangs in the front, most of it let down but guided back, tips dyed black, brown eyes, collared shirt, fancy ruffles but a tattered dark vest, black trousers and boots to match the vest. His vest and pants are lined with pockets and compartments to store his weapons.

He pretends to have style, pretends to be cool around others- does a fairly good job of it. When alone though, he is much more uncouth and insecure- to the point of making reckless decisions out of a total lack of care for his own life.
He hopes to prove to himself that he is worthy of life and of others- however, any such event that he might decide to take self-worth from he dismisses.
He is sociable, but often talks at the expense of others (not ill-mannered though) and seldom talks about himself.

What I posted I just personally consider crucial to a character.
And you'll notice nothing is mentioned of his life story. =)

Well, you said we didn't have to do all of the categories. Othernick and I each did two and a half. =p

Playable Character: Lupin
Male
Wolf
Age 4 (adult)
Hunter class, uses bows, knives, and spears (somehow).
A wolf raised by humans (instead of the other way around). Walks on his hind legs and wears human clothing but cannot speak very well.

There, a character.
...I might just add him to my cast of random characters if you choose not to use him.

I meant you didn't have to do Characters, Premise, annnnd Starting location.

Hyperlisk is doing the best so far.

By the way, no more premises or starting places, but you can do as many characters as you guys want...because not all the characters will be in the beginning of the game.

A robot who falls into a time vortex and ends up in medieval/pirate/ninja/caveman times. That is always the best character. Also he doesn't know he's not human.
