Sankaku Complex:

The long awaited second season of the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi has begun, secreted in the midst of a rerun of the first season, and as revealed earlier is the new “Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody” episode.

It's begun. Finally :D

I loved how the episodes of season 1 were not in chronological order ... and I'd love it if season 2 were to be mixed in with season 1 ... else I'll have to watch season 1 all over again in order to remember what's happened (and I'm lame and <3's anime's with short seasons).

I rescind that. The first episode of the new season covers the last two chapters of the manga, so they'll have nothing to do with each other from now on. ^_^;

Doesn't matter because there's still season 1 episodes between the season 2 episodes.

Because they're not airing the episodes random flavored, it's all chronological.

I think it's Friday in Japan though.

Once again I must rescind my comment about the manga. I found out recently that there are actually 8 volumes of manga in Japan, but only the first 4 have been licensed so far, and I can only find scanlations of the first 3 anywhere online.

Also, the current story arc (story loop?) is getting on my nerves...
