anyway there are loads of prewritten scripts here and there's a search function so knock yourself out. also if you view the forum by replies in descending order the most popular - and most supported - scripts will appear at the top which should narrow it down a bit.

you're in luck because I have just started rpg making again (fuck RMXP though).

Rm2k3 also has more resources for it, its easier to make resources for, works on older computers, and isn't as pretentious and bland as XP

I agree with absolutely everything Rockman has said in this topic so far.

And by the crowd that uses it, I'm really only considering the crowd of one site, because after that, I tended to avoid sites with a strong XP fan-base.

The only thing I like about XP is that the maps have three layers instead of just two, and the chips aren't limited to what layer they can be used on. It's kinda nice to be able to have any size of sprite in XP, but it's not wholly necessary.

The only two viable arguments I have heard are the resolution(with using Ruby you could fix, and there are pleny higher resolution RPGs in 2D that have looked nice), and the needing to learn Ruby (but Ruby isn't that hard and really kind of useful, I wish I would take time to learn it, and complaining about that is also kind of dumb since the 2K/2K3 event system uses what is like a really really bad version of BASIC, which you need to learn to do anything useful).
But the only thing 2K3 has above XP is it's dumbed down and easier to use, which really doesn't make it better.
It's still really a preference thing, I still would rather use 2K3, some people would still like to use 95, but no way are either of them better than XP/VX, nor should we criticize Vash for using the superior engine. It's just as silly as saying 2K3 is better than Game Maker or something, it's so not no matter how much you prefer 2K3.
Who's Hyrda? Hyperlisk?
I don't even know if he's looked at this topic, but I think he's far more concerned about hacking/making the game makers than actually using any of them. And he doesn't know Ruby. So he's probably not going to be much help.

You know I pay like no attation.... I am not dumd I swear. I just don't play alot of attation... I get distracted-- Ohh lamp *head swings left, mouth opens, the druling insues.*
Anyway, ignoring my noun indiscression.
One can do some beiutful things with that extra layer, Maps look better when they have more detail. I'm not gloting, but my XP maps look like late SNES, professenal maps.
P.S.
In my defence I really don't use autotiles.
(If the Grammer suck sorry. I fuzzeled..)
