Posting this even though my last two poems got no comments...
This week is (more or less) iambic pentameter. Enjoy.
HOMEWORK
Whene'er I have free moments in my day,
video games are what I love to play.
Even when there are other things that may
be wise for me to get out of the way,
What else is there for me to do but say,
"Just one more level, then I'll do it, 'kay?"
It's usually not enough for mi madre;
she'll threaten to sell my games on eBay.
Oh such a thing would bring me great dismay,
and so I tend to let her have her way.
So now I turn the system off and lay
controllers to the side where they will stay
until this load of homework I allay.
Although, completion feels so far away...
