Hack Week!

So Yahoo is sponsering this fancy Hack event at 6 universities. A bunch of computer science-related presentations, (The creator of PHP gave a talk yesterday), as well as some other events. Ultimately it all leads up to a 24-hour hack marathon, in which teams try to make the best hack. In this case, a hack is more of an interesting project than it is "go find a security hole and exploit it". Some examples they showed us: Somebody made a simple programming language to draw vector graphics. There was a really fancy WYSIWYG editor, and some other guy made a Pastebin + TinyURL mashup and added encryption. So yeah, just little things which could be interesting and/or useful.
Oh, and their site: http://developer.yahoo.com/hacku/
So I need an idea for a project and maybe people to be on my team if you're interested. I'm not really sure if we can be an official team over the internet, but the whole event is mostly for fun, so I'm sure they won't mind. Thursday at 3:00PM is the start of the 24-hour event, and if you were here they'd feed you with a ton of free food.

We didn't really get too much finished (it took us forever to properly get/read the packets ... none of us knew much about networking) so our app wasn't too impressive ... but we ended up winning the "What we're [the judges] interested in" category because I guess our app was good in theory but not quite finished. So we all got little ninja flash drives.
And the whole event was super awesome as I ended up with 3 free shirts, a ton of free food ... and ended up not sleeping for 37 hours straight (and somehow I managed to only miss 1 class)

So ill basicaly go for more network management than programming.
ps: did you perfect the app? otherwise it would be fun to try and get it on a teachers pc and minitor what he is doing XP
