Yo yo yo everybody.

 

I did the weekly updates (or monthly, since no one did one last month), kinda, it was actually my turn too. So you can find that in the sidebar/front page. I don't feel like making two threads so there that is.

 

More importantly is Secret Santa. Which is the point of this thread obviously.
 
Guidelines:

• Sign up by November 17th. We'll pick people on the 18th.
• No suggested maximum. Although I'd suggest a minimum of $20. It doesn't really matter if you hit the minimum or not, the thought is what counts.
• Send out your item by 12/14. It's best if you send out your item as early as possible so everyone gets their presents before Christmas.
• Write up what you want or what you like before the 17th and I'll add it to this thread so your Secret Santa can get an idea of what to get you.
• Send me your address via PM so I don't have to look for it or send someone something that is out of date.
• Tell me if you are already going to get a gift for a member who is signed up/might sign up.

I'm not terribly picky with brands for brushes, although I do prefer natural brushes over synthetic ones (they pick up paint better). Neither am I picky with palette knives. wOil are the cheapest water mixable paints I can find and are my regular go to- note that if you can't find that brand or the alternative brands that I'll still take any water-miscible/mixable oil paints. However, I typically don't use ordinary oil paints (they're more of a hassle, since you have to use paint thinner and they're harder to clean off brushes). Faber-Castell is my go to in pens and pencils (I'm good on the latter, though), if that brand can't be found, look for artist pens that are: high light resistant, Water-resistant, permanent, Odor-free, acid-free, pH neutral. Sakura pigma micron ink pens are usually good, from what I've heard.

Secret Santa is one of my favorite MP events!
Here is a list of suggested ideas for me:

• I recently received a kickass teapot (Thank you Puffin!) and now need teacups to go with it. My teapot has the cutest Espeon on it, so if you are able to find either plain teacups or Pokemon decals to put on said teacups, it will be a win.

• Oh, oh, I know! Get me a fuzzy, lavender scented, Pokemon plushie! Perfect! Ahaha! I crack myself up.

So the emails have gone out. I wrote a fancy/sloppy script to send everyone their Secret Santa. The emails it went to are what you're signed up with Slack as, so check those emails.

Okay so I haven't been super active on the boards lately, but I promise I'll do it this time! (Sorry again, Stars!)

As usual, anything that is unique or special to you or your specific geographic region is marvelous! If you can't think of anything meaningful, then I'm into pokemon, and those cute little Lego minifigs that come in blister packs are always in style, and I'm really into bowties (Real ones!) but those can get spendy. Pretty much anything nerdy is cool. Also, gift cards to the usual places work, too.

Probably don't buy me a game or an album as I probably already own it. Unless you really really think I don't and I need it. Books or board games are always nice. Handmade stuff, or food, is also awesome and would be the best surprise. 

 

If you really can't think of anything and just want to get me a gift card: Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Costco are the places I do 95% of my shopping.

I've ordered 48% of my secret Santee's gift to be delivered to my house. It's scheduled to arrive on the 14th, but I have to buy something locally (Probably do that tomorrow) and add some extra odds and ends before I ship it, so it'll probably be out on the 15th or 16th. But you'll probably get it around Christmas!
