I alluded to this in the weekly update topic, but I started a Slack team for MP:

What is Slack?

 

It's a big chat room for teams to communicate with. Technically there is no need for it, but it's useful/fun/easy and has mobile apps for on the go.

 

Why did I make it?

 

I was bored. Also, maybe, it'll be a nice way for all of us to communicate with each other than isn't solely through the forums. It's much easier to use than IRC was. 

 

How do I join it?

 

Just tell me your email.

Slack is pretty cool. I've used it a bit. Sign me up, you should have one of my emails somewhere.

Also, my monkeypro email address got clogged with spam. Is any kind of spam protection easy to implement?

I don't know. MP still is on a shared server, so technically I don't have that much control. But I'll look when I have time.

Edit: Never mind, I just noticed that the RSS feed doesn't show posts, only new threads. But at least there's that?

Upon closer inspection, the RSS feed does update for individual posts, but several seconds after the post is made, and then it only shows the first post in the thread.

Edit Again: Okay so the RSS feed is extremely annoying because of the way Slack handles links.
